First off, let's look at the "Value" of exotics. So far the only known values on how much each are worth are represented in coins. Secondly, as there is no trading system and only a currency system, the currency being either coins or marks to obtain exotics. Until there is a trading system the only value of an exotic is what it means to each individual player. Third, you theory of a story behind exotics makes me laugh as most people's "earned" exotics are like the following: >Oh I got the gorgon checkpoint and opened a chest, then got (X). >Oh I joined at an Atheon checkpoint with all 32's and got (X) >Oh I joined at the Death Singer Checkpoint and got (X) >Oh I joined in to Crota Checkpoint and got (X) >Oh I got a random engrams from (X) and got (X) >Oh I Joined at the end of a nightfall/played a nightfall and got (X) ((Nightfalls being quite easy these days there is no way this could be epic) >Oh I joined at the end of a strike in (X) Playlist and got (X) >Oh I was grinding in the crucible/strike Playlist and got (X) >Oh I joined at a crucible match at the last second and got (X) So please do tell me how any of these are epic or unique in any way shape or form? Sorry to say, but all you kids that think you are something special for getting a certain weapon through RNG need to grow the -blam!- up. I got a hardlight and a hawkmoon and when Xur sells both, I am not even going to be mad. I am going to be happy that people get to enjoy these weapons as I have.
