This has been quite a topic a while ago, so when I heard about the open door, bringing this up was inevitable. Since we have some Crucible Designers here, I wanted to bring this to their attention.
As you all know, Raid Gear has one additional perk, which is there to help you along the raid they drop from and are also helpful in certain ways in other PvE missions (additional damage to hive major, stun wizards...) and these items are earned from the highest PvE challenge in the game, the Raids.
So, why not implement this additional perks to items you can acquire from the highest PvP challenge, such as the Iron Banner and possibly, the Trials of Osiris. Make those max level gear have one additional perk that will aid players in PvP. Even if it's little like precision kills against guardians have a chance to spawn orbs, they will be appreciated and will make those highest PvP gear much more interesting and relevant.

Hey cool idea! We've been trying to make sure IB gear is continually getting better, like Light 36 Armor and awesome weapons(Felwinter's Lie!!!!). It's definitely a possibility in the future.

pvp gear should have pvp perks, raid gear raid perks, endgame gear should be awesome, how bout and exotic peice should have a full set of legendary matching it

raid gear other than the light level is actually worse then vanguard / crucible gear from the corresponding vendor in many many cases raid gear is very weak in both discipline & intellect and weighted way to heavy in strength something even for a titan that is completely useless in a raid and though your idea is an absolute winner in every respect one must remember the majority of destiny's pvper's are nothing but butt hurt noobs who do nothing but bitch and moan about everything. before a single piece of gear could be awarded some jackass would already be complaining about it being way to OP and wanting it nerfed
