Edited by Moonglow: 3/7/2015 12:55:31 PMYou do realize people get Strange Coins as rewards for a Nightfall, right? I spent well over an hour fighting Omnigul, and got 11 strange coins for my effort. I then spent just as long, if not longer, beating the crap out Valus McDickFace, only to get 9 of them. So yes, I spent my Strange Coins on some Exotics from Xur. It took no effort at all to get them. No sir, not at all. I just waltzed up and grabbed them.
-
I got my universal remote from the first chest in Crotas end raid. I don't care that Xur has sold it and that many have bought it. Completing a weekly strike IS earning an exotic weapon. You work to earn currency with which you can purchase an item that you desire. True sense of the word earn. No burn means the whole thing takes much longer than a nightfall and is usually more difficult. Boo-urns to you that you no longer feel special rocking a weapon / armour piece that you were lucky in obtaining from the broken in-game lottery system. TL,DR : Cry baby
-
You arent even good at destiny. Saint was the only armor piece i have never been able to drop. All weapons. But not the saint. But i guess i suck for buying that one piece. Come at me with your scrubbishness
-
My story is that I took the time to level three characters so I could play the heroic three times a week to buy my items. Your argument is that playing the lotto and winning is a more honest way to make a living than working every day. That is highly illogical.
-
Being mainly a PvE player I want to see my fellow guardians as strong as possible. I don't freaking care how one obtained their gear or weapons and care even less for anyone thinking they are a special snowflake because they got lucky
-
Lol, op's most recent game is..... You guessed it..... A weekly heroic strike!
go suck a strange coin
-
I got exotics doing nightfall every week for earn coins, and can buy them. Thats my story
-
So by your logic Ice Breaker is not as valuable now that nearly everyone ownes it. Ya, you should probably STFU before you make any more stupid statements.
-
Edited by Krazey Ivan: 3/7/2015 12:25:58 PMWell I bought 2 Ice breakers today and you know what? I bought 1 the last time he sold them as well so now all my characters have 1 SO NERRR. And if you don't like that, tough. SO YAR BOO SUCKS TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Shut your female ass up -blam!-. Grow some balls are move forward
-
Gr8 b8 m8
-
You can't earn something that is RNG'd when will people learn this, I still think Exotics sold by Xur does devalue them a lot
-
Edited by CanuckCaliber: 3/7/2015 12:10:07 PMWah
seriously tho nothing has value. You're not a special snowflake if you "earned" anything through RNG

also are you saying you never have purchased ANYTHING from xûr? Come on
-
Edited by lLemmingl: 3/7/2015 12:08:44 PMWith no trading system the items have no value to anyone other than the person who owns it. It in no way affects anyone else. Besides, it's just a game and pixels have no real value anyway. Don't stress over pixels.
-
ahem *cough* its just a game dude.
Get a life.
-
Who is xur?
-
Who cares dude. Don't buy from Xur then.
-
Its a game. None of the gear has value to start with. You didnt earn anything more than some one buying with coins. You played a game, you got a random reward, you didnt earn anything. Stop crying, get a life
-
What about people who grind through all the cap and have nothing drop?
-
#satire? As you obviously are an Elite player...

Edited by vicious1024: 3/7/2015 11:13:10 AM
Sorry you guys need to get handouts from Xür. Bungie even said they want a story from how you acquired your exotics. So your guys story is that you bought it from Xür?Nice! Go tell that one one to your friends.
A story about purchasing your gear is just as interesting as the one about how you got it from a small metal box in a cave. Or, the one where a group of over-levelled Guardians face roll Strike to get a lucky drop. Even better, how a level 7 Dreg dropped a legendary engram while patrolling - that later turned into an exotic. Or, my favorite, the story about how some guy AFK'd a Crucible match and received a Gjallarhorn. Seriously, there are very few instances where a player's acquisitions are actually interesting. If Bungie truly cared about the story behind a player's gear, Xûr wouldn't even exist. His purpose is to mitigate having to deal with probability, plain and simple.
-
Exotics never had any value anyways. Idk why you cry so much. Just cause someone has something doesn't mean they'll always use it.
-
No economy, no devaluation.
-
Xur sells something useful every now and then that makes raiding and striking a lot easier. I guess that's a bad thing?! Were supposed to look at xur's wares and say, "oh I can't buy it...I must earn it instead. I can't piss off these a-holes I never play with." I swear its a double edged sword. We can't buy exotics and we can't get into raid or strike parties without them.
-
Exotics are still valuable, having an exotic different to someone else in your loadout can alter your gameplay style immensely or mean that your team dynamics is insane
