Too much crap being spewed, didn't read past hardlight, it's trash though.
-
The only two guns that are earned are vex and necrochasm. And the only reason is because you can only get them through hard raids. Yes it's still RNG to get it, but there's only one way to do it, and usually takes effort. Saying anyone had earned anything else in this game is laughable.
-
I think you need to study economics before you try to use it in a post...
-
How do you know they haven't been grinding all those things and just haven't had the good fortune of RNG going in their favor? Please explain? Don't worry I'll wait. This is right up there with the dumbass blue and black or white and gold dress thing going around. Get over it man. This is a video game and it really is sad how people like you take it more serious than real life it seems.

How does what other people buy from Xur affect your gameplay experience at all? Do some of the perks on your "earned" Universal Remote not work any longer? Is it weaker? And let me ask you this. If I won a car from a sweepstakes, does that mean I earned it? On the same note, if I bought the same car with my money, I didn't earn it? Please do us all a favor. Trade in your game. Break it in half. Let your dog eat it. People like you are ruining this game and the community. Please. Leave this game and never return.
-
Maybe they did the grind and it didn't drop. You can't look at my stats and say I haven't played enough. Xur is a legitimate way of obtaining exotics. He's not a showcase, he's there to purchase exotics. Other players having praxic doesn't effect you. You should really be happy other players get to experience this beast exotic.

I can't believe that 6 months later we are still on about earning via RNG. Let me tell you a couple stories. I've done the raids, the nightfalls, the heroics, the strikes, the crucible, the Iron Banner etc etc for quite some time now (been here since Saturday of the alpha, all the beta playing since launch at midnight) on three characters. But a friend who plays on and off and for maybe an hour or two a couple nights a week just had ghorn drop last night on hard crota. He was carried, very carried, we had 5 32s, figured he would be fine at 31, he promptly died in the crystal room each attempt. Match ends and I get my 6th dragon breath from crota, he gets ghorn for staring at us on the death cam. But I suppose he earned it. Afterall, another friend and I have gotten through a lot of nightfalls till the boss is at 5% to invite him in (intentionally, it is just easier this way) so he can get it done. I suppose he earned it though eh? My girlfriend got universal remote on two occasions. Through a nightfall I and a couple buddies ran her through when she was level 28 and a raid I ran her through when she was 30. I suppose she earned them? (She is a very competent gamer she was just underleveled and new to it) I play consistently, run my weekly heroics whether they be Omnigul with no burns or Archon priest with all the burns, I do it because it is fun, gives me a small satisfaction for completing it, and I earn those coins (put in an effort for a defined reward). I don't begrudge anyone anything they've gotten and thankfully there isn't an in game trading system, the bitterness in situations with my friend last night would be over 9000, because we both know of the two of us who has put in more time overall and who puts in more work in each encounter. Of the two of us we both know who "earned" it. In the end it is all RNG, strange coins and Xur simply let you choose whether you want take advantage of a specific instance of RNG. Anyway, cheers, sorry your two character snowflake syndrome had to be melted so soon because now anyone willing to put in an effort to get strange coins can have Universal Remote too.
-
You earn the strange coins to sit and wait for the exotic you wish when he sells it. So 5hey have earned to buy what xur sells. I've had hope for 2 months now and don't get why -blam!-ing pussies like you cry about him selling ahit. Get over yourself you're not special. If he sells ghorn I'll be happy so I can read whiney little bitches like you crying on the forums. And yes I have g horn as well
-
Edited by Cyanide: 2/27/2015 4:24:26 PMSorry I'm late. I had several other snowflakes to pick up. Your whambulance has arrived.
-
You forgot #Satire... You didn't earn shit dude, you got lucky. You have no clue how many Atheon/ Crota runs people might have had and still gotten -blam!-ed by RNG. I've been grinding this shit since Beta and still can't get a Ghorn or HL... So mute this shit and go play WoW or some shit.
-
I think they should remove weapons and armor from xur just upgraded shards and ammo synths
-
He's sold Suros Regime twice and people are still using other guns more efficiently in Crucible, for example, plus I rarely see anyone using that gun outside of Crucible. Acquiring said "exotic" doesn't equal skill level, nor does it make the player better. I've played the game since beta and I haven't been able to acquire Praxic due to RNG, so this is well worth it in my opinion. I love that he is selling it for people who haven't people able to have RNG work in their favour because in fact, the way I view it - the whole "earning" vs "xuring" is irrelevant when it comes down to it. The fact that you have to either have to do two Weekly Heroics to be able to purchase one piece from him (assuming you don't do ROC strikes or are unlike with Blue Engram loot), then in a sense, you are "earning" those coins to be able to purchase items. Also, for example - HOPF is only one of many viable items for a Warlock, there is Obsidian Mind.... Voidfangs, the Claws, etc. I get what you're trying to state, but at the same time, I don't see as a problem because I've seen so many players that are terrible with these so called "overused" weapons - so it's never really bothered me.
-
-
I understand that people wanted to cry when xur sold ice breaker but a shotgun..... Come on
-
You don't earn exotics in an RNG game...
-
So stupid. I "earned" my hardlight and my gjallahorn. I don't care if xur sells it. And you're God damn right I bought heart of praxic fire which I also "earned." You probably don't even realize how many people have it, and don't bother to even use it. It's going to see a lot of use this week, and then the numbers will level out. Same as it always does. Not every exotic suits every playstyle.
-
Please. Get over yourself. The universal remote is nothing special. A dust collector in the vault. As for "earning", I just "earned" my 3rd hard light from the exotic chest on the Vault of Glass. I got that checkpoint from a buddy who did the work to get there..... EARNED IT BABY!
-
Each post on this forum should reveal the age of the person who posted it. The level of stupidity here is overwhelming. I can only hope most of these idiot posts were scripted by the 17 and under crowd.
-
No trade system = no possibility of devaluation except in the minds of crazy or elitist people who think only they should have nice things. This is a teamwork based game, people. The better the gear the guy next to you has, the better your fireteam.
-
You poor, poor thing. I don't like seeing people upset, but I want you to know that you will come through this horrendously unfortunate period in your life stronger and better as a person. Trust me, the day you get over yourself, you will be re-born.
-
Exotics don't get "worse" when more people have them. It's not like the damage gets reduced when someone purchases an exotic from Xur. Your exotic is exactly like their exotic. And guess what? Every single person who has been playing this game and wanting those weapons and armor has technically been "grinding" for them. Just because they eventually drop for you doesn't mean you deserved them any more or they deserved them any less, everyone is working just as hard as everyone else.
-
When will you -blam!-ing crybabies learn: EXOTIC DOES NOT MEAN RARE! Morons.
-
Oh, this thread again... Please grow up already.
-
Lol what a salty noob.
-
Your entire wall-of-text, sandy-vag rant is invalidated because the entire premise is based off assumption. You postulate anyone buying a Xur special simply does activities to earn coins, rather than raiding, running strikes, etc.. This obvious logical misstep would be apparent to anyone who wasn't so immature and needy that they were having difficulty typing through their tears. TL;DR: Ha Ha! Fuck you, "earners"!
-
I do everything. Crota, Atheons, nightfall, weekly. If Your implying I didn't earn my stuff, Suck my left nut
