Because white Americans want to pretend they are ingenious people and discovered America.
When in fact Christopher Columbus when there and killed the native Americans.
They don't know where they are from originally

Colombus landed in the Caribbean not the US...

Sorry to burst your bubble but we all originate from Africa/middle east regardless of ethnicity. My great grandmother was born in Ireland but my grandparents and parents were born here and I do not call my self Irish American. Regardless of what was done to Native Americans or how this country was discovered the fact remains if you are born in a country, that is what you are.
-
Sorry to burst your bubble. But I know for a fact the majority of Americans think like this. They also think their terrorist army is heroes while they are out helping their government take over countries and murder children using drones (cowards weapon)
-
You must be an Allah lover.
-
Drones are a legitimate weapon. What's the difference if a MAV or a UAV?
-
American media does not speak for Americans. People outside of America read the news and think that's what we all think. Very wrong. Obama approval rating is about 50%. That means half of America doesn't agree with what's happening in this country.
-
Could be true. I am American and don't agree with most of what my government does. I also don't believe that any wars we were in were justified since WWII. Either way this is way off the topic on why blacks born in America refer to themselves as African American. That brings up another question, do black people in Australia call themselves African Austrailains? lol
-
I don't know. But I do know blacks in the uk don't call themself African British. Must be an American thing with all the racism and slavery in the past. They don't want to be a part of the whites

Edited by FL NIGHTMARE: 2/27/2015 3:08:43 PMThis is dumb we dont think that but understand that since slavery happened unlike white ppl ( who can general trace they roots to a specific country or country's) it can be very hard to nail down where you are from which is why identifying as an African-American became a thing in reality Africa is a very diverse place with no one cultural identity
-
Hey man, that's actually a pretty solid answer. Nice job!
-
Thank you sir a smart man then I explained it to me that way
