I present to you; Crowfall. A game that mixes strategy and mmorpg elements by incorporating factions. Or for the weeaboos, a non-VR SAO.
This game could be a game changer for the seemingly endangered species of games that is the fantasy mmorpg. WoW, Runescape and other games of the sort have become bland and repetitive. Crowfall is going to try to bring something new to the table: A game you CAN'T beat.
TL;DR If you like (or liked) fantasy MMORPGs this game has potential to become your dream game.

Swagu or anyone else interested in starting a guild with me? I really want to, but want to get a few other key founding members, haven't thought of a name yet but when we do I want to make a webpage for the guild, or at least a forum. Message me if you're interested with your Crowfall account name, and feel free to shout out suggestions for the guilds name.

Anyone else keeping up on the updates? The crafting sounds awesome, a lot like SAO. An the mounts sound pretty innovative as far as mounts in MMOs go.
-
Eh.. kickstarter. I'll be surprised if it's ever realized :/.

Mmos are just so bad lately I want to play one (not world of Warcraft) but they all have this trend. Everyone rushes to endgame to find out it's extremely lackluster. Not enough content to hold people over. F2p problems, Subscription problems Server problems After a couple of months the community base shrinks to a point where it's not even worth it too play anymore TLDR too many problems not enough time

>Implying WoW, and thus the Fantasy MMORPG genre as a whole, is dead and needs saving >Motherfvking Kickstarter >J. Todd Coleman I've said it before, I'll say it again. It doesn't matter how pretty you make your Kickstarter page, you're still asking us to fund your game with no guarantee that you'll follow through on the promises that you put out. At least if your plans fall out with Publisher money, we're not the ones who dropped $50-$10k to fund you. Using Kickstarter is such risky business, why bother? For every 1 game that's successfully Kickstarted and delivered as advertised, there are hundreds that fail. Who the hell knows where this one will fall? And then there's the fact that this is an MMO. MMORPG's are one of the most crowded and COMPETITIVE genre's you could have chosen. Lasting success for this is almost 0%. I hate to be a negative Nancy, but look at Wildstar. They had a buggy launch and their population, even today, is nothing to write home about. And that -blam!-ing game was hyped almost as much as Destiny.

I'm waiting for Everquest Next, that game looks amazing from what I've seen.
-
Bet it's gonna fail like Titanfall
-
Right now WoW has been my choice
-
have u heard about Black Desert. looks like a pretty decent game
-
Elder Scrolls online
-
What stage of development aRe they in? Testing begun?

Dead frontier is the best web browser zombie mmo. Challenging, hard, addictive and fun. I have many friends that like mmos but quit because they cant keep their char healthy, or nourished. Personally that game is amazing. Huge world, different zones. Many kinds of zombies, bosses and extreme hard bosses (aka flame wraith, and black titan, and flame titan) need to keep your player nourished find food of your lvl, medicine, armor, weapons, ammo, play with friends, boss raiding, looting the city, just an amazing game for me. Check it out.

Please don't add fuel to the hype train. MMO's don't need saving, you're probably just on the wrong continent.

Is everyone so butthurt to the devs that they are all just overlooking a prefectly good game.

Edited by Psyntifik: 2/26/2015 4:09:12 PMWhile this game looks cool, mmorpgs aren't on their dying breath. They are still going pretty strong. Look at WoW or Guild Wars. Neverwinter and ESO are coming to console soon too. Hopefully Zenimax upped their game, but ehhh... http://www.polygon.com/features/2015/2/24/8079729/crowfall-game-of-thrones After reading this, the game seems much more comparable to Archage.

Dude I checked out Crowfall and it looks amazing, I can't stop looking at info for it I wish it was out now. I'll be backing them for $175 on Monday :) thanks again for posting this. Did you ever play Warhammer?
-
One word: Wildstar
-
I'll stick with WoW.
-
Not your average bump
-
Can I get it on steam?
-
I read it and it looks real interesting, but I have no chance of playing it. My computer would straight up explode.

-
While the game does nothing new really. I'll mention it. FFXIV. It's a great game.
-
