When devoutly religious parents decide to forgo proper medical treatment for their kids who are ill in favor of "faith healing", should they be charged with neglect if their child dies?
This link talks about the laws and gives some statistics on the subject.

Simple solution all Offspring should be taken away from their "parents" and raised together in special institutions by the government. While there all children would: •Receive immunization to disease and more common poisons depending on there location •All would receive weekly counseling/therapy •All the children would be scrutinized heavily for poor personality traits. Arrogance, pride, feelings of superiority etc(Bullying). They would also be chastised for such acts. •All the children would receive their schooling at the same place where homework would not exist due to them living at the same establishment and the school day would be all day with more and longer breaks. •The children would also have members of all races in each "class" •The children would be taught to work together and be taught to treat everyone equally with respect and dignity and not by race •They would also not be taught about the history of racism and expansionism and how all there ancestors were conquered then conquered others and etc and they would not be taught the names of "different" races. •They would also not be taught of any form of religion and they instead would be taught to be more open and accepting of there own and other peoples sexuality •Any child of the age of 12 would be allowed to fill out a request for gender reassignment they would however have to wait one year before they would actually begin the reassignment(consider it some time to truly think it over incase there circumstances or opinions change) •All children would have the same things thus this would lead to less feelings of competition and superiority •With the weekly therapy and test results the children the caregivers would try and find occupations that would better suit the children •The children's names would be more simple names and their last name would be shared throughout the "class"

Convince them that God gave us medicine by creating the people that came up with them.
-
As a Christian, yes. Those people are idiots.
-
If you were starving your kid to death it would be taken from you but I also think super obese kids should be taken away for same/opposite reasons they are killing their children no different than if they smothered shot or stabbed them same goes for denying them treatment
-
Yes, they should be.
-
Ppl who do that are -blam!-ing stupid. God gave man the intelligence to create and invent whatever man wants as long as it doesn't harm other beings. These morons who do nothing with the intellect God gave them are not pleasing God whatsoever, they can believe all they want, God will not reward the lazy ppl.
-
They should just pray to talos and I'd help heal them.
-
Yes they should.
-
Hell yes
-
If I had cancer and my parents got me faith healing I would go to a hospital and call them crazy
-
No absolutely not
-
I think that some religious people that believe to that extent forget that maybe their god was the one who supplied them with the medical means to cure their child. Just a thought.
-
It's stupid...but, to each his own
-
Yes it's always a good thing when other people who perceive themselves as superior/morally righteous. Are given the power to make decisions for others based on their opinions and views.
-
Yes. Faith is nothing but a placebo when it comes to sick people. If some religious nut heads choose "faith healing" over medical science then they should be charged with child abuse.
-
Um yeah, if your child dies because you refuse to get them the treatment they need because of your archaic religious bullshit, you murdered your child. End of story.
-
If modern medicine fails, should the doctor's be charged if the child dies?
-
No...? It's their choice. You live your life, and they will live theirs. It sucks for them, but they can't go back.
-
Yes. They should serve a few months in prison as well.

-
Yes, this isn't the dark ages we have modern medicine for a reason.
-
Ok. This will be the final doornail before we let this thread be boarded up.
-
No, but I don't believe that faith is a good reason for not getting vaccines.
-
-
No, but it's really -blam!-ed up.
