Bungie Logic: AR's are used alot, this isn't how WE want the game to be played, so we nerfed

There's always a class of weapons that's popular in MP shooters. I really don't understand why hand cannons and AR's got nerfed. It's like the devs are picking up George Lucas Syndrome - "Screw what they want and enjoy, let's make all these ridiculous changes and make this game the way WE want it to be played"

Yeah not sure where they were going with the whole "create your own destiny" because ever since launch they've done everything they could to make sure people play the game the way Bungie think is the best. And yes, they totally ingored personal prefernces when tweaking the weapons. People will always gravitate toward certain types and you really need to over-buff the less "attractive" archetypes to change that. In my opinion they could have buffed pulse rifles by 30 % and it would still not be on par with with other weapons, in terms of use, because it's simply not as fun to use for most people. Now, there could be exceptions. The scout rifle, for instance, it something I think more people would want to use but to most people it's not an optimal choice - for the simple reason that it's a more sophisticated weapon that doesnt have any room in a gimmicky PvP mode with a bunch of OHK weapons.
