[b]Synopsis:[/b] So… who’s used the sword before…? Anyone? ... Anyone...? [b]Roster:[/b] BTrain905 Chubaca411 (from out of the bullpen) ICON414 Jcarols Niiyobin RNG15 AwdFear87 (until lag death) [b]The Short Story Made Long[/b] Feeling like seasoned VoG professionals, RHSE tried its collective hand at Crota’s End this week. RNG_15, Niiyobin, ICON414 and AwdFear87 got started on the lamps before being joined by myself and Jcarols who showed up just in time to fall down a few holes and help clean up the last few Thralls before the bridge, which we took using the wipe-5-then-snipe strategy which proved to be quite effective. At this point, the Tuesday night server traffic started to make itself known, with AwdFear87 getting kicked repeatedly, to the point where Chubaca411 was called in from the bullpen, just in time for the Ir Yut fight. This produced a great moment where Chubaca spawned, assumed we needed to wipe and sprinted straight into a couple of nights without uttering so much as a single word. It was like watching a coked-up lemming running for a cliff... Personally, I always expect the Deathsinger fight to be a bit of a bear, as the time pressure combined with the adds always seem to result in the last guardian standing getting whacked by a Knight right before launching the final rocket. Last night however, there were enough Gjallerhorns to get us through on the first try. Then, as we lined up for the Crota fight, we ran into the classic n00b conundrum – We didn’t have anyone who had used the sword before! So, up stepped Niiyobin who would have killed Crota on the first attempt, except for one nugget of wisdom that we didn’t know: [i]After killing the first set of Ogres, Crota will be standing on the left platform. If you run back up the left stairs after killing those Ogres, Crota will smack you in the face with a big sword…[/i] Lesson learned, Crota went down a few tries later, leaving Niiyobin as a budding sword-wielding addict, declaring “I want to run this again – I didn’t realise wielding the sword would be so easy!” Famous last words…? [b]The Loots[/b] Big haul for me this run: Bone Circlet, Raid Helm, and Song of Ir Yut. Jcarols snagged an Abyss Defiant. At least one person got the raid ship. I think I saw at least a few other pieces of raid armor drop but was a little too excited about getting the helm to pay proper attention.
