Nightfalls in general are just boring and pretty much requires every member to sit back and spam bullets at enemies for 30 minutes. This is because once you die, you get returned to orbit and all the time and effort is wasted. My suggestions would be to make nightfalls like any other strike and have checkpoints. I think this would allow for more freedom of weapons and tactics when playing the nightfall and would overall be a more enjoyable experience.

Maybe have periodic checkpoints where you are still sent to orbit but then you can try again from your last checkpoint a certain amount of time later. I.E. You are returned to orbit then there is a 1 hour wait time before restarting from last checkpoint

No. I like it the way it is. Maybe return to the start rather than orbit, but I like it how it is. The easiest way to make them less tedious and more fun is simple: cut the amount of damage needed to kill the bullet-sponge bosses like VT and Omni by half. The boss is always the easiest part of nightfall. They should either make the bosses harder in an interesting way, or just make them quick to kill. It's not fun spending 80-90% of the time it takes to complete nightfall shooting at a sponge. That is just lazy game design.

They require skill. Don't have skill? Don't play Nightfalls.

Edited by DoktorBoar: 2/24/2015 11:56:15 PMMe too. These try hards can turn their game off if they want when they die and hit their nuts with a spiked bat. I don't need your need for punishment inflicted on me I just wanna have fun

Nightfall is meant to be this way. It is supposed to be challenging. What you're describing already exists in the form of Weekly Heroic strikes.
