But I can't decide whether it's better to tell them by a letter I hand them that explains the long story I have, or if I should just say it. Has anyone else gone through this, and if so do you have any advice?
-
Who cares? Bisexuality is a fad.. Your moms probably bi too.
-
Step 1. Become Mormon Step 2. Date a girl Step 3. Date a guy Step 4. Make mone-...bring them home Step 5. Become Samuel L. Jackson and say "Surprise motha -blam!-as!" Step 5. Go to your room Step 6. Threesome time
yeah. I know. 2 step 5s. Don't care
-
Coming out as bi was a doddle for me. Just told them and they didn't even care...admittedly this was after I came out as transgender so your results may vary from mine.
-
Have a threesome in front of them
-
You're screwed either way
-
If you're a dude, date a chick, if you're a chick, date a dude. It's natural ;)
-
I'd start with this probably isint the place to post this kind of question. That being said, ignore the horrible people and see if any of the advice really makes sense to you. It's your decision how to tell them.
-
Did you lose your helmet before you decided you were bisexual. How retarded are you.
-
I used to think that bisexual people just felt that love has no boundaries. Then I learned that they're just really horny.
-
No one cares. Stop being a drama queen.

When my sister came out, she did it face to face. She didn't make a big deal of it and set everyone down, she just said it in the car one day. My mom was upset at first, but it was more about her worrying about the bigotry and stigma my sister would face than anything. Soon after, it was past and life went on. Not sure if that helps or not but, like many things in life, it probably won't be as bad as you worry it might be.
-
Yeah, no one cares, no one's supposed to care, not even the person coming out of the closet they were standing in the doorframe of. It's not a big deal, most people are bi. Come back when you're about to tell them you're gay or trans and there is a realistic chance you may be kicked out of your house.
-
The best thing to do is to just tell them straight (hue). The more you distance yourself from physically telling them the more uncomfortable you make yourself look, which is never a good thing in these situations. Plus it means you don't have to sit around stressing like shit until they've finished reading it. The more you tell people, the easier it'll become to tell other people, so some more advice is not to let them be the first people you vocalise it to unless you're sure it's going to go well.

-
If they're sane and smart they won't care. If they're crazy people they will probably disown you.

When I came out to my parents I wrote them a letter and I think it was the best thing, to let them have time to think about it before they talked to me. They have been as supportive as they can be ever since.
I'm transgender by ze way
-
Edited by Jaaake AU: 2/24/2015 3:31:19 PMForget the letter. Interpretive dance is the next big thing. Imagine the fun that could be had with the whole family as they try to untangle the web that is your sexuality as you're wobbling about on the kitchen table.
-
I never got the importance placed on making sure your family knows your sexual preferences. Do you tell them what kind of porn you prefer too?
-
Be like "You know how a sandwich has 3 parts, too middle and bottom? Well I wanna be in the middle." They'll be like "oh shit srsly?" And you'll be like "yea so -blam!- you."
-
Don't bother telling them, Just date who you want, let them find out that way. Making a big deal out of it isn't really the way to go, regardless of whether they'd be supportive or not.
-
Haha, my sister told our parents this when we were kids And my dad was like...
JUST DATE BOYS THEN LOL
-
No do a threesome on their bed with both sexes when they walk in they'll know.
-
Is this the part where everyone is supposed to give a shit about your sexual preference?
-
However you feel comfortable with.

Hey there ;) welcome to the club
