So apparently "KirmitTHEfrog", the guy who deleted the kid's characters over SharePlay recently, is innocent.
Here's the interview he did with Game Informer.
So what do you think? Is he telling the truth? Or is this just more trolling?
-
He did this more then once, with his buddy (PSN has "Aztec" in it). Didn't he get suspended already?
-
Personally this whole fiasco just reinforces my original assumption that share play shouldnt exist. To many kids on consoles and with everything being online these days...just a bad idea all around. I think sony should just discontinue the service. Its unfortunately one of those things that will always hurt more than it helps. Im sure it will just be a portal for similar things in the future.
-
I could give a shit less about the assholes sob story about his sister. He's most likely the cancer that killed her, and his mom probably set up the car crash hoping to kill him. Sony needs to brick his console and ip so that he can't ruin other playstation users experiences.
-
He's lying. He had videos on YouTube of him playing Destiny recently. He bragged on the forums multiple times about how he's done this kind of thing. He's actually done this at least three times that are documented. Once in October before his supposed accident. People have found posts in other forums from as long as 2013 of him trying to scam people into giving him access to their PSN accounts. So yeah. This guy is a worthless piece of shit and a straight up liar.
-
If you guys cared this much about actual real life problems, the world would be a better place. Go fight Isis, solve world hunger, or anything that actually helps people. No matter what, the kid decided to let someone play on his account. Don't give your stuff to strangers. If you are too young to know the difference then your Parents should not let you play a "rated T" game. The end

Edited by MiGhTy JeRkuLeS: 2/24/2015 2:27:17 AMYeah because an email from Kirmit's *mother* is a TOTALLY legit source.
-
It's bs do some research on the forms and you can see he has done this to 4 other people that we know of. And he had a YouTube channel where he would do this stuff but all the videos have been removed.

Edited by DragoonKai: 2/24/2015 1:31:20 AMI read the story yesterday. Here's what odd, though: -Guy says he's on meds half of the time and doesn't know what's going on. So he's able to go to work and drive and have a normal life but he's unaware of who enters his house? -Rewind. He doesn't know who's playing with his PS4? At all? Who's in his house? Messing with his belongings? Does he live in an orphanage for privileged kids or what? -And assuming he's not lying, his "mom" doesn't know either who did it? Really?!! I'm not saying you need birth certificates and fingerprints of everyone you know but I know I'm not gonna let a bunch of random people in my house on a daily basis and let them mess around with my stuff. (A better excuse could have been he was having a party. Bunch of strangers there for one night, people playing, people probably buzzed, etc.) -If he's indeed a saint and he likes to share his PS4 with someone, give them their own account. Accident or not, I don't want them to mess with my stuff, even if I have nothing valuable in there. -There's been some record of him doing this before. If someone has that link, let me know. -Even if all of this IS true somehow, he's still accountable. If someone shoots a dog with my gun I left lying around my house, you're damn right I'm gonna be at fault too even if I was busy taking a dump at the time it happened. -So he's portraying himself as a victim. Of a real life event. That has affected his life tremendously. We've heard this before, except it was true. So...would it be too crazy to believe he could get a reward like, I don't know, fateful and foolish exotics? I'm sorry if this is all true. If so, I feel bad for what has happened in his life. But at the end, if no other culprit comes forward and claims responsibility for what happened, he's at fault. Guilty until proven innocent. Same goes for he kid. He put himself in that position, knowingly or not (and his intentions were not good to begin with). He should not get rewarded or his items back; he won't learn his lesson. And besides, he still has a good character AND he says he got the game during xmas. Getting two more lv. 32 characters should take him a month with the way he plays. Geez, this drama, I swear.

The worst part of all of this is that GAME INFORMER made an article about this. As if the forums weren't giving this enough attention, bungie decided to add to it, and now a damn gaming magazine. Lol I mean I'm sick of it!
-
Still not involved. Glad I never was.
-
Kirmit for world leader
-
What the actual f^ck did that have to do with anything? Sure the kid was at fault. But what he did was wrong. We don't need a life story. Why tf do we even care anymore. Everything has already happened. Let's just be glad it's not us.
-
Remember that old skit of Kermit the frog getting high? Now that was entertainment
-
Stop giving him fame and move on.
-
Can't believe this is a topic of interest at all on here.. You deserve the sketchy stuff you get YOURSELF into. Simple as that. They clearly tell you not to share account info for one reason. Jesus why are we not promoting more self education.
-
Half at fault cause he deleted stuff but other dude got caught cheating "cheese"
-
Even if he isnt innocent I dont really get why this is such a big deal. Sure its a dick move to delete someones things but come on use a little common sense. All those people should have never even thought about giving access to their account to anyone, let alone to someone who they just met through a video game. I feel bad for all those supposed victims but at the same time if they willing gave a stranger the ability to control their account they brought it on themselves. I remember back when I was 11 or 12 and playing runescape and I would get lots of messages saying things like "Hey if you give me your password ill make you a ton of money really quickly" or "Hi im from xxxx company we are looking for people to become moderators, if your interested just give me your account info and ill add you to the database." Not once did I even think about it, I would immediately block and report them and be on my way. At around the same age as this most recent supposed victim I knew better than to trust a total stranger, in fact I wouldnt even give my information out to friends because I couldnt guarantee that they wouldnt steal from me.
-
I call bullshit. It's just a goddamn reason to get people off his back
-
Don't believe it for a second
-
Maybe he'll get in another car accident to finish the job.... yes I'm an asshole
-
I was tore up from the floor up in an ice road accident, a couple of days later, I'm kicked back playing destiny. I'm not saying he's guilty in light of recent information, but I am saying, accidents don't stop gamers from gaming in a lot of cases. Neither do they stop douche bags from being douche bags lol. Meh, I hope he's innocent, because now, everybody feels sorry for him. If not, then he wouldn't have enough conscious to care, and he will likely be at it again. The story just seems too lame IMO.
-
Oh boohooooo give him Fate of All Fools and send him on his way
-
He's a liar
-
How in the -blam!- did this become such a big deal.
-
Only difference is the video proof of it happening, would be interesting to see how people would react now
-
This guys full of shit and Deej needs to bring Dow. The ban hammer!
