Too bad farenheit using countries also use standard rather than metric. Then again I feel better when it says I drank 12 ounces of alcohol rather than 354 milliliters.

Rain/snow is fresh water. I dont know about anybody else but it seems kind of silly to use a scale for salt water for a weather forecast.

Fahrenheit has a larger range of digits it uses to describe everyday weather we experience so it can describe outside conditions with more accuracy. Other than that I don't care.
