I'm dedicating this post to little ideas that I have thought of during my time playing this game that I think can really make a difference if implemented :D (Like This Post If You Agree, Thanks)
NOTE: Some Of These Ideas Are From Other Members Of The Community That I Personally Agree With, This Is Basically A Summary Of All Ideas
#1: Glimmer drops need to be increased. Not by a whole lot, but definitely a little. After this period of no ammo synth from Xur, I think we can all agree on how tedious and unyielding glimmer farming can be.
#2: Vault space= Increased by a few rows and add a section for cosmetics.
#3: Vanguard and Crucible Commendations are piling up because of their lack of purpose, maybe you could trade them in for a certain amount of Faction XP, Glimmer, or Materials from that faction's quartermaster.
#4: Character Voice Options, speaks for itself.
#5: More character actions, plus the ability to assign your 4 favorites to the D-Pad.
#6: In addition to character actions, character voice actions where characters in the tower or in the wild could choose to assign swiping movements on their touchpad with certain callouts. A player could go to the pause menu and filter which voices they want to hear. For example, you might be in the tower looking for a fireteam but are unable to communicate to everyone in the tower. You could then set your filter to "Crota's End", and listen for players like yourself, looking for a fireteam. This would go in combination with the different voice options, making different people sound different. In addition to this, a small text with who said what should be in the bottom left corner of the screen, as game notifications usually are. Implications of the wild could be a fireteam member finding a chest and yelling "Over Here", or a friend in need of assistance might yell "Help!", or "Cover Me!", or "Follow Me!". There are too many options to list.
#7: Gear Perks Switcharoo. In order to inspire individuality in this current game of clones, players could have the option to (for a certain amount of glimmer), switch the perks of two pieces of gear so that they can have the perks they want along with the look they want. This would obviously not apply to exotic gear since it would violate the 1 exotic armor, 1 exotic weapon rule. It would be cool to apply the Abyss Defiant Perks on the Khovostov weapon that you first find :D.
#8: In-game, in-app, and on the destiny website, players should have the ability to (for a certain amount of glimmer) create their own Color Scemes/ Shaders. More colors would cost more, and different types of texture would cost even more. The most expensive one might be a metallic gold or something of that nature. This would go in combination with #7 to create a truly unique character.
#9: Change character appearance, same options as in the character creation window, plus a few sliders. I would personally like to change my exo to match my gear.
#10: More Events, less weeks of no events at all. And make them different.
#11: Don't know if this is still possible, but along with the improvement and deepening of the current story, or lack thereof, they should add in a secret enemy faction, made purely of the Darkness. Maybe they could be shadows or something, I don't know, maybe the Jovians or rogue awoken. Just something to inject some new life into the game. (Maybe they could fly :O)
#12: More predetermined shaders, that old hag doesn't sell more that 4!!
#13: More effort into new gear design, stop freaking repainting old gear and giving it a fancy name.
#14: Icons next to player names (set by said player) showing what the guardian is looking for/interested in. This would help with the raid matchmaking problems. just like my voice callout idea.
#15: More weapon types. I was thinking that a different heavy type could be a mortar which would work like a grenade launcher but the grenade would bounce (and would also have increased friction so it doesnt fly all over the place), and would have a timer. This would allow for trick shots around corners by bouncing off walls, etc. (Remember these are jusit my ideas) A new secondary type weapon could be some sort of constant, long range, energy beam type weapon with a large magazine, allowing for long periods of fire. Last but not least, a new primary type weapon which is like a sonic boom creator. It's pretty bulky and basically shoots shock waves. This would have the same damage, if not more, than a hand cannon or scout rifle. As you can imagine, it wouldn't have crits, but the pay off here is that the schockwave would stagger all enemies in its path. There's also the possibility of an exotic version of this weapon using enhanced DOT due to its elemental type, i.e. burning.
#16: Xur should sell legendary engrams for a cheaper price, maybe not all the time, but it should be possible.
#17: Greater variety of bounties, with greater rewards if more difficult.
#18: Explore the actual city, with areas having various vendors offering different services. It would be nice to move beyond the tower.
#19: More areas in the tower, with more interacting NPCs providing more services and information. Maybe a library where the scholars hang out where you can go find some lore about the story. Maybe a lounge somewhere where there's a party area or something. That would be fun :D
#20: A leader board room or area where an NPC can interact with you to show you your position on various leader boards, for example "Most Dangerous Guardian", or "Strongest Light". Stuff like that
#21: Add in new game modes such as a horde mode/ survival game mode. The longer you live, the greater the rewards. Just a thought.
#22: Direct location to tower option, going to orbit often wastes too much time.
#23: Vault accessible from orbit, saves a lot of guardian time.
#24: Bounties with glimmer rewards, we all need that.
#25: Don't remove older weapons, just add on the newer ones. Gunsmith should have the option to upgrade the older weapons to new damage status.
#26: Guardian class items, maybe not common to rare, but legendary and upwards (if there is to be an exotic class armor) should posses certain perks such as the 3 ordinary gear buffs, or maybe some general weapons perks. Like faster reload times, or more ammo reserves. This would actually give class items a significant purpose.
#27: Maybe in the party area, a bunch of gaming NPCs, where you challenge them to a game of chess where you can bet glimmer :O
Just a thought :D
#28: Last but not least, the packages gained by gaining a level in factions and the cryptarch should consist of things that we actually want/need, not the rare shit that we've been getting thus far. Who the hell needs more ascendant shards and ascendant energy right now?
If you got all the way down here, thanks for reading :D ! I hope you like these ideas. If you have a different vision or would like to add upon mine, please leave your comments below, thanks!
PLEASE UP VOTE THIS IF YOU WANT BUNGIE TO SEE!!! :D

#11, you probably don't want Jovians opposing you... Xur is a Jovian
-
#23 kinda is a thing now so yay?
-
Have the leaderboard reset on weekly basis.

Bumpedy bump all the way!

Bump
I need ascendant stuff
Last two weapon ideas of #15 sound like you pulled them from cod aw lol, still good ideas though!
-
For Guardian voices. I'd like mine to sound like David Dickinson on Keith Lemons sketch show.
-
#7 and #8 need to happen. And if you could add an elemental damage to weapons with kinetic damage for a fee of some kind!!!!
-
ALL GREAT IDEAS. Not sure of the sonic boom though should be a heavy weapon I think. But in addition to #19 there should be like mini games or ways to pass time with friends or random guardians and ways to conversate with npcs or bargain with vendors (dialogue options) and there should be another social spot. Lilt the city, as you said, and that could be where there's activities for you to do with other guardians.
-
And also in addition to whatever number it was, the whole assigning favorite actions idea is great ( I thought of that the other day) but you could be able to double tap the d-pad for different actions ( such as your voice actions, not all of us have touch pads lol)
-
Not that I don't agree with this, because all of these are some pretty sweet ideas but--
#2: Vault space= Increased by a few rows and add a section for cosmetics.
By "cosmetics", I assume you mean beauty products? If you meant that you can expect a few likes and kudos from me.

Edited by james: 2/23/2015 5:02:30 AM#25 is the most important in my opinion. I have 20 maxed out guns right now. And when the DLC comes out, my guns will be worthless. Wtf is up with that?

So what your suggesting is that bungie make...Destiny...2? Or Destiny the remastered version? or Destiny what it should of been in the first place? I'm sure the developers have a list of suggestions so long that they would have enough content change to produce another game. The big question is..... Can some such complex changes be made to the current structure the game has been built on? If not then we will never see some improvements that are really needed.

On completion of the dark below strikes guardians should be rewarded with radiant material not the ascendent materials.
-
Hardcore! You really put some thought it this lol. The time i would not want to spend on this... Nice post.

An interesting list with a lot of good items. Some of these I hope Bungie looks into for Destiny 2. #21 and #25 are my favorite ones.

Regarding #14, when Iron Banner is up, people interested in running it usually have the IB emblem. This makes it pretty easy for me and my friends to get together, as it's a signal of what we're interested in doing. A functional use for emblems would be a good way to compensate for the lack of true social features, and it would take something that's purely aesthetic and has a very minimal impact on the experience and give it purpose. Regarding #23, yes. Why would we keep our gear and resources in a common storage area and not aboard our ship? Regarding #25, heavens to Betsy, yes. If attack ratings must be increased (I think it's a big mistake to do so), don't make our beloved guns obsolete. It's just mucking up everything. There's no point in creating disparity with the attack rating. There are so many other facets to the gear that Bungie could explore to generate appeal, but along with light level increasing, there isn't room for us to explore those parts of the game because we just choose whatever has the highest light level or attack rating. Otherwise, great list. Some of these are baffling as to why they aren't already implemented, tbh. Another thing: It's great that Lord Saladin can reforge IB gear, but why not implement that for all factions? Currently, 9 out of 10 legendary weapon drops are useless due to undesirable rolls. If we could reroll them at the corresponding vendor, it might give the factions more functional purpose. It also would give us more options for things to do with weapons than just dismantle them, which is what we're doing with the vast majority of gear in the game. And that's just such a shame.

Edited by Hopeinmo: 2/25/2015 10:41:37 PMAnything I don't label, either I agree with, or have nothing to say of 1: agree, maybe suggest making glimmer collection consumables last longer and able to stack one kind, maybe 2x? or 3x? 2:(and 23) might I suggest this? https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/102288071/0/0/1 If you want to read through it... (Is the combination of characters inventory, example, from 3 10 sized primary inventory on characters, to 1 30 sized shared inventory) 3:(and 7) perk re-rolls or customization/selection on faction (vanguard and crucible included) for a mark cost? 5: that would be helpful to people that don't want to talk or listen to voices (like me) could implement military type gestures 10: would be nice if something like Iron banner, lasted longer than 1 week as well, (or make multiple IB events stack rep for say, a season, then reset) for some of us casual gamers, who are not exceptionally good at this game. (some people take longer to do a few of those bounties) 13: include faction differences that are major please! (most exciting gear differences were and still are crucible/vanguard vendor) I read the whole thing! :D

Thanks for the support guys! Keep it up! :D
