No, "the Kid" should not get his items back, here's why

Yes, yes. I'm sure you are all tired about seeing threads about kirmit McDickface and the kid who lost his gear and characters through playshare. I'm here to provide a different opinion than the white knights running rampant on the forums. He should not be given his items back for free Think about it. Here's a young kid who naively believed that a stranger with access to his account would not do something to mess with him. He did so with the intention of cheating/glitching, looking for an easy way out. He lost his items and characters. No, I'm not trying to bash the kid and I'm not defending kirmit. He was a jerk, and its clear to me now he violated Sony policy either through "harassment" or scamming. And I willfully admit that I have "cheesed" the game before. Many of us here are guilty of that. It's human nature to look for the easy way out. My point is this: The kid made a dumb mistake of allowing someone access to his private account to play on. NEVER NEVER NEVER do that with anyone. He learned a valuable lesson about not trusting strangers without facing any real world, tangible consequences. Its not like he handed a stranger his parents credit card info. I did the same thing on Runescape back in the day, and I'm glad it happened. I never made that mistake again. If he is simply given his items back for nothing, he won't learn a damn thing. The compassionate thing to do would be to offer your assistance by playing with him. Help him earn his gear back, and show him that not all strangers are jerks. In the process he'll appreciate a valuable lesson and maybe even make a few friends along the way.

 • You don't run a kid over just to teach him how dangerous it is crossing the road! If he had held down the delete button while the kid watched in horror then let the button go just before it was deleted that would have been teaching him a lesson! The Kirmit ahole is just a bully looking to get a hard on from messing with people! Bungie should delete all his characters and Sony should ban any consoles associated with his PSN account! When my Nephew was young this type of shit happened all the time on Habbo Hotel, kids are trusting and naive it's called the innocence of youth. Some of the responses on this incident are incredible, wait until you are responsible for a youngster. I can just see some of the members of this forum as parents, slapping their two year old across the face screaming at them to "shut up Meg, "git gud scrub" and "tears collected".
