The Short Story Made Long:
This was an interesting one, as my connection to PSN’s party chat server was severed completely part way through the Templar sequence, rendering me a mute partner for most of the raid.
From my silent POV, I have to say that the Templar fight was probably one of our worst collective performances so far, as we kept missing Oracles, and weren’t putting much damage on the Templar before teleports.
After a few more wipes than we were hoping for, we chipped the Templar down, and…
Skipped the Spirit Bloom chest?
I don’t know the details of what went on in the chat, but all of a sudden, everybody moved on, and left me alone with the chest – which I opened to get my weekly dose of VoG Spirit Bloom.
Unbeknownst to me, someone (I’m guessing Jcarols) had apparently picked up the superstition that leaving the Spirit Bloom chest improves your drop luck later in the raid.
And that crazy superstition… TOTALLY F’ING WORKED!
The very next chest dropped a Red Death for ICON414, and the long-awaited Suros Regime for Jcarols, thereby ensuring that Jcarols will never touch the Spirit Bloom chest ever again.
One Gorgon Maze and Platform Puzzle later, Atheon went down on the first attempt (we’re starting to get kinda good at that fight if I do say so myself), and we had another completion under our collective belt.

I saw a couple of VoC’s drop (including one for me), and the usual assortment of Chatterwhites and materials. Anybody else get anything interesting that I missed?
