Hilarious to see lots of bigotted bigwigs in the state throwing a hissy fit over it. Not so much in what they're trying to do.
The exception was granted because one of the women has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Such a shame that it takes a life-threatening disease to force the hand of the state to allow to people to consensually marry. But it's better than not allowing it at all. :)

She was taking hormones and everything. But because Russia recognizes you as the sex you were born as technically to them it was a man/woman marriage. People were pissed but hey Those women didn't make the rules amirite
