You can never solo the weekly heroic again
How does it feel? I'm honestly very upset. Once it drops I won't be able to duo it with one friend now (or solo), we have to:
1) drag a horrible player through
2) deal with an afk player
3) ugh
What do you guys think? I want an optional no matchmaking button. Is it that hard?

I like to take my time and listen to podcasts while playing. This means I wont have 100% focus on the game. That's why I prefer to solo it, no rush in finishing it

I just think their reason for doing it was ridiculous. Everyone should have two friends (or at least one, Weeklies aren't that hard) to run the Weekly Heroic by now. Even if you're a Christmas noob (presumably you've been playing for two months now) and especially if you've been playing since launch. This should have been an option, not mandatory.

1 ReplyI wonder how this will work level wise. I loved soloing the weekly or have a lower level friend join just at the end or just for fun. If I do it on lvl 30 will I only be matched with 30+ ? Or will I be matched with a 27? Don't get me wrong I'm happy for those who needed matchmaking. It's a good addition. It's just those who need matchmaking have a different play style than those who prefer solo. I don't want to be put together with randoms. No matter the level (just had this thought how it will work) it would annoy me if I had to slow down/rush through if the other player chooses to do the opposite of how I want to play that day. I also don't want to annoy some random if I choose to challenge myself to go sniper only on a weekly. It was the only thing I could do solo if I wanted to. Why can't there be an option for solo/matchmaking? I think I will stay away from weeklies for a while...

Why is having afk team mates any worse than soloing? You are doing the exact same amount still. And for the argument saying people get free stuff for no work, just leave and find a new lobby

1 ReplyI like it, but...... it should work off your "friends only", "invite only", "public" options on your player screen. That way the ones who want to solo can "invite only". The ones, like myself who enjoy my friends just jumping in, can set it to "friends only" and run it with another ar two. Those who need help can set it to "public" and get the run in so they can get their coins/rewards. I personally think this is brilliant and if successful could be transfered to other aspects of the game.

Just want to throw this one out there, a bit of a scenario What if you're running with 2 buds and one of them gets an error code/game freezes? Unless the two decide to leave or the person comes back in time, they'll more than likely be replaced correct? There really should be 3 options for the weekly and/or nightfall: •solo •private/friends only (as there are times a few forget a certain weapon/bounty and choose to leave long enough to get it before returning) •matchmaking

1 ReplySet your console date back a day and it won't match you with anyone. It takes about 30 seconds then gives up and let's you solo. Easy fix :)

People will always complain no matter what this game does... "I don't want to have to solo it" "I don't want to have to have teammates" Yeah, it'd be nice if they added the ability to choose whichever option... but at least they finally did SOMEthing sensible and helpful...

Simple fix for the AFK player if you don't want them to get rewards, get near the end and you and your buddy doink around until they either a time out, leave or, actually do something.

I have been reading these forums solid for around 3 months now and all that I seem to see is people whining to Bungie for matchmaking. Now that they've listened you're all bitching. It was same with the chat options. Whine, whine, whine. Now that chat is available no one uses it. Make up your minds and stick with it.
