For all of you people that are discussing this retarded topic and who are all quick to defend this 'innocent' little child.
Number one: Kid is too -blam!-ing young to be playing destiny.
Number two: Kid thought he was going to get away with cheating.
Number three: Kid was going to violate terms and cheat the system.
Number four: Your not innocent just because your a young kid.
You guys need to look at the facts before you assume that Kermit is the bad guy here. Tbh, id do the same -blam!-ing thing Kermit did. Guess what, not only did it teach the little kid a life lesson that if you cheat on ANYTHING there WILL be consequences. And some sense of -blam!-ing morality.
Thank you, had to get this off my chest.
Edit 1: yall so salty lmao
Edit 2: were trending now ;)
Edit 3 (Important): people listen please, this thread was simply so I could let people know that there is good to be taken from this situation. Kermit may be an asshole and may have no sense of morals. But this young kid can really take a life lesson from this. If you need the lesson to be explained then hats your problem. Before you try to discourage me and insult me and Kermit right away. Think about it please. I'm not trying to offend anyone. And I'm open to respond to valid arguments.

What Kermit did is wrong, but I'm sick of people defending the kid.

So it's ok that dude broke Sonys code of conduct to teach the kid a lesson for being deceived in to break Bungies terms of service for something that impacts noone else? Lmao. Ok buddy. Cause you've never used any exploit in the game that is against terms of service. Any dead ghosts that aren't out yet, any ammo glitch, exploration of locked content places yoh any cheese spot where a strike boss can't hit you, templar, atheon multiple ways, loot cave, gatekeeper, eris reset glitch, vanguard reset glitch, lamp explosion in abyss, jumping up on ledge and cutting half of the abyss out, any bridge despawn glitch, using sword swing to get across bridge, self res glitch, deathsinger glitch, the multiple crota glitches including the ever so popular crota kneel glitch that more than 80 percent of the community did at some point, etc. Don't ask all high and mighty man, don't kid yourself. While I don't think the kid should get his stuff back because that just rewards the intended behavior of cheating, I do think Kermit as an older gamer (who should be teaching kids on how to play correctly and not tricking them into cheating to get games rewards) should be account banned. The kid already got his punishment. Twice. 1. By losing his shit for trusting someone he barely knows online with his account 2. All the flaming the kid is getting directly and indirectly for being taken advantage of. He has thousands of ppl who know his username now sending him garbage. you don't think ppl are harassing him?

Just cuz it's rated for teens doesn't mean anyone younger can't play...it's up to the parents...I personally would let my six year old play this game, hell my friends would play with her, I know my friends and have been playing with some for years or I know the person irl

Troll
-
welcome to the internet kid!
-
Life lesson: don't trust a single person. There are assholes like these guys every where.
-
Do we know how old kermit is ?
-
I agree that the kid learned a lesson. But I bet you played games that you shouldn't have when you were young?
-
7/10 too much logic.
-
That kids original post was a week ago and nobody gave a toss then, now all of a sudden it's been mentioned in the weekly update everyone is jumping on the band wagon. Sure he did wrong but screwing that kid over, but that kid shouldn't have been so stupid to give kirmit access to his account. Kids will be kids, he will get over it
-
Victim blaming at its finest..... Disgusting
-
You're an idiot.
-
So you say KirmitTHEFrog may be an asshole with no morals, and at the same time say you would do the same thing as he did. QED you must be an asshole with no morals. Thanks for clearing that up.
-
Quit exaggerating lol 2 and 3 are the exact same thing
Edit 3 (Important): people listen please, this thread was simply so I could let people know that there is good to be taken from this situation.
Nah you posted this for the attention. I would venture a guess that you're probably another 30+ year old CoD playing man child or you are a kid yourself.
Kermit may be an asshole and may have no sense of morals. But this young kid can really take a life lesson from this.
There are much better ways to educate a kid on the dangers of trust and privacy on the Internet. I sincerely doubt this Kirmit guy's motives were to educate the young gamers of the world on the issues of privacy and security on the Internet. He did it with malicious intentions and this is not the first time he has done this sort of thing.
If you need the lesson to be explained then hats your problem.
Because clearly you're an expert in these matters.
Before you try to discourage me and insult me and Kermit right away.
That would be pointless. History has proven that ignorance is an incurable cancer in societies.
Think about it please. I'm not trying to offend anyone. And I'm open to respond to valid arguments.
Your first initial edits to your original post say otherwise. Nice attempt at a recovery though. You have already alienated yourself from the rest of the community. I seriously doubt anyone will accept you in their fireteams aside from maybe a few other trolls you met on 4Chan.

You fail to realize what type of creature would harm a human purely for enjoyment. A demon. The child and his account are irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. Good life lesson learned here, shouldn't have given a stranger access to his account, better a video game than a bank account, etc. However, the intent of this creature was not to teach the child a life lesson. This thing wanted to harm a living being for no reason other than to gain satisfaction from his misery. What well-adjusted individual cognizant of their mental faculties would behave in such a way? This is psychotic behavior. I guarantee you this demon will become a serial something one day. Actions like these should be recognized as the premonitions they are.

It is a hoax!

Now I believe every one has to go through this at some point. I got trolled back in MW2. The guy said he would get me 10th prestige and highest camo on all weapons. Well I paid and he changed his gt instantly. But I learned a lot from that day to not trust anyone not even close 'friends'.
-
This to me falls firmly into the realms of giving a stranger access to your bank account with the promise of them giving you free cash and then fleecing you. You would be a moron to do it. When something seems to good to be true and involves access to your account then you are gonna get suckered. Kid learned a hard lesson, but a needed one I think. I've played MMO's for years and if I had a £ for every time I've seen a player account share and then be screwed over because of gold farmers or people claiming to be able to dupe hack etc, then I'd never have to work again. Sure Kermit was a -blam!- but the Kid was just stupid and that's what you get for being so naive as to trust a stranger with your account with the promise of it being boosted. To those defending the Kid, would you be so quick to stand beside him if he had been successful in cheating but then had his account banned by Bungie? I don't think so.
-
So tired of the entitled nature of today's kids. Life's unfair, shit happens, and cheating is not the way to get ahead. All these lessons were taught to this kid because obviously his parents weren't doing their jobs.

HOLY SH*T! THE COMMENTS ON THIS POST CINTAIN MORE F WORDS THAN THE WOLF OF WALL STREET I CAN READ MORE THAN 5 IN A MIN!

Bump. This forum needs more common sense.

Who the -blam!- cares it's a video game. A year from now no one will care. Hand the kid another game.

Is this the pep talk you'd give to kids that get tricked into getting molested? Kid: *sob* *sob* *sob* You: "Well, I'm sorry your butthole hurts and you're scarred for life, but it's your fault you're so dumb and 11. So, what did you learn from all of this?"
