What games that came out recently, or relatively recently actually SUCCEEDED in living up to the hype that was built up before release?

Most games are pretty good, I think our expectations have gone up more than they should have. Long games aren't necessarily better, especially if the length is achieved by grinding or meaningless side quests. Certain games also appeal to different audiences. Destiny has great gameplay, The Order looks like it'll have a great story (I've avoided spoilers) and Dragon Age has good empire building and exploration. I'm feeling a bit underwhelmed by most of the PS4 games I have, but I think it's mostly due to the developers not taking full advantage of the new hardware. If I had to guess, late 2015 and Q1 2016 will be amazing. Final Fantasy XV and Uncharted 4 will likely live up to "next gen."
