Exactly. The more exotics you get, the less chance you have of obtaining the ones you don't. It's simple. Gambling wasn't removed, the whole RNG system is a gamble. Every single time you play Destiny, you're gambling. Trading was removed because there isn't enough items to support it. Everyone would have everything they wanted in no time, and then one of the main motivations to even play this game is gone. Also, no one wants a situation where people just pay some guy real cash to get all the gear. You would literally have people with everything and only 10 hours played. It would most definitely ruin the game.
