Okay, so in my town, there are thousands of people on "health kicks," which is perfectly fine. Far be it from me to judge somebody trying to whip themselves into shape. However, there are some moments that are sort of... Unpleasant to witness.
Now, Compression gear is designed for an Elite Athlete's recovery/performance, and as such, is very expensive for a potential 1% performance gain. So, naturally, every man and his dog absolutely must rep skins or 2XU "pants" when they're out for their morning jog.
Understandably, there are some, er... Diverse body shapes. That's ok, I salute those doing exercise, as they're dedicating themselves to self improvement. However, I fail to see how skin tight garments can be comfortable for the human equivalent of a Zeppelin, especially when some excess anatomy finds it's way out from said clothing.
Really, I mean, wouldn't that be not only uncomfortable dealing with the jiggling, but the breeze on exposed skin, too? I don't want to sound judgemental, but I really can't see a reason to wear such clothing, when perhaps Track pants and a Hoodie would do nicely. Did I mention that these guys are usually sporting an atomic wedgie, and are doing nothing about it?
Might it be the placebo effect of having the flashy gear that's helping these guys maximise their performance? I can't really think of any other reason. I mean, absolutely everything is on display when you wear stuff like that. Now, I don't have the most chiselled body in town, but at least I don't subject others to a shocking sight by wearing the tightest possible fit when I run, or I'm at the gym. It's just common sense.
Obviously, I'm not trying to suggest that nobody should be allowed to wear compression garments. What people do with their money is their own business, but when I see someone as described above, I can't take my mind off how uncomfortable it must be for that person. It's extremely distracting.
Maybe I'm just overthinking it. If you've had any "Just what are they thinking?" moments, feel free to post them. It doesn't have to be exclusively to Exercise, it can be anything. I don't really know where I stand on this. If you want to know what my position is, string the first letter of each paragraph together.

The compression gear helps the bigger guys keep everything in place. However, that doesn't mean they shouldn't wear anything over them.
