Bungie stated that VoG weapons would NOT receive a bump to current damage standards and that they would be "frozen in time".

That specific quote was about the vex mythoclast being frozen in time. They have stated elsewhere that they had no plan to release a harder version of VoG. The flip side of this is that they also had no plans to put match making in for weeklies. Then they did. Soooo anything could happen?
