Gjallarhorn Moment
I witnessed proof today that owning the Gjallarhorn does not make or break a Guardian. (And forgot to push the button to record it.)
During the Omnigul strike, the player with me fired his or her G-horn without making sure they were clear of the obstacles in the room. The round promptly detonated on the nearby wall, resulting in a "Guardian Down". I was almost laughing too hard to go revive him.
Is it a nice rocket launcher? Sure it is. Is it a magic bullet for all of your problems? In my opinion, no. No, it is not. I'm just as happy without one.
Looking for anyone else with good stories about a G-horn moment....

Everyone makes mistakes mate. I have been doing the simplest jump on to a ledge and slipped off into a ravine... So a guy blew himself up, big deal. It must be nice being perfect. Also, get over the Ghorn obsession. If it is all you are playing the game for you will be disappointed.

1 ReplyYou don't have gjallarhorn so you can't speak about gjallarhorn. I didnt think it was that great till I got one. Also you can be clear of stuff and it will decide it wants to track the thing you just jumped above to fire your rockets. You don't question gjallarhorn.

There is something I noticed about ghorn. It DOES have proximity detonation and it PISSES me off. I can CLEARLY see that it detonates almost 3-4 meters away from a thrall just because he was near it. No. It should be point blank. But u know, bungie......

In the omnigul strike if everyone has Ghorn you don't have to worry about the adds

I had a moment in Omnigul strike where I fired a rocket just as a Titan put a shield over my spot. It was with a Hunger of Crota. Any rocket launcher will do that to you, just as any rocket launcher would kill the guy you're talking about. I have Gjallarhorn. I'm no better or worse with it.
