I have an issue regarding my Asus laptop. I use it primarily for school work and to play games on but I've come across an issue that has been bugging me. My computer runs on windows 8 and automatically updates itself when needed, but it seems the last big update got rid of some things on my laptop. I used to have Kaspersky which is my virus protection, but now it's gone and it's been replaced with AVG (which is what my laptop had before I believe). It also doesn't let me use Firefox as a search engine, saying that all the sites are I untrusted forcing me to use Internet Explorer. I'm sure I don't have a virus but I would like to know where my Kaspersky went and why I can't use Firefox. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Edit: It also does not connect to my wireless printer anymore saying that I'm missing a driver.

Throw it at a wall/family member That always never works

Did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in?

This happened to my exes computer. I -blam!-ing hate windows 8! Ok, for the antivirus your just going to have to reinstall the old one and delete AVG. Open Firefox, press Alt and go to Internet options and change your security settings. I have mine set to medium high. You might still have to add exceptions to your trusted sites list, but anything from a multinational should be ok. For your printer you need to go to control panel, hardware profiles ( it might be called add/remove hardware or something else, not sure with windows 8) find "printers" in the list, click the drop down thing and find your printer. Right click it and select update drivers. If that doesn't work search google for ([printer make and model] free driver download) and find one manually. Hope this helps.

You can just turn off the auto-updates. Plus, get google chrome instead.
