Ok, as the title says only for noobs, because almost everyone by now already knows how to beat him easily. I know you can find guides everywhere about this but decided to make my own with 2 different perspectives.
This is the middle strategy that most of us use. First touch the Crystal, to trigger the encounter, clear the rooms, leave the Knights low on health so any hunter or warlock can create orbs with their super because with orbs and the correct equipment is the only way you can regen health.
After clearing the rooms, go outside all at the same time and stand in the middle platform, waste no time in killing swordbearer, see my point of view as a hunter swordbearer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31rnYAfXkcE. As you can see the swordbearer should go for the sword before swordbearer dies to ensure correct timing, as soon as swordbearer is killed, have a titan pop a bubble with blessing on the right side where Crota goes, see my point of view as titan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dx0Ms7lv1Tc. This will get Crota's and the boomer's attention so the swordbearer will be safe, be sure to have their attention and stay inside the bubble, you can still throw rockets like I do.
You can see the rest at the video, for Ogres go to the right room where they spawn and pwn the first one, then safely kill the other one and careful on your way out, if Crota is on the side wait for him to go middle, side, then middle again, and if he is in the middle, wait for him to go to the side then back middle that's where you will go for the kill.
When he gets enraged, this is where many fireteams fail, IGNORE OVERSOUL, imagine there's no Oversoul and just focus on taking down Crota again. And most important, when in the middle on the outside don't stay close to the crystal, stand as close as you can to the ledge because once Crota gets enraged there will be thralls behind you and can kill you and if they do, Crota will regen his shield and it's a wipe.
By doing is this way I've helped lots of teams, even teams with level 30's & 31's it's mainly a matter of doing your job and not dying, and the most it has took us is 3 tries. Sure there are more ways to do this but this is the one that I find the safest and easiest.
Hope this helps at least one person, anyone can do it, just practice the timing and work as a team.

When your on the last rotation... Instead of standing on the ledge where sometimes thrall get all the way through, knocking you off/killing you. Stand on the ledges where there is no window on both the left & right side

You dont even need a titan bubble to get boomers to focus you. If you stare at them through a sniper scope, they will just stand there and stare back at you like idiots.
-
Whatever happened to just playing the game and figuring stuff out for yourself? You get on YouTube for handouts, then complain the game is too short or there isn't enough content. These guides are stupid.

Yeah I made on too lol https://www.bungie.net/en-GB/Forum/Post/101808995/0/0

Simple = Brilliant! using knights for orbs is an excellent idea; the Titan bubble to distract the boomers is an "I wish I'd thought of that..." Now, to find a team that has the armour with orbs/health perks, and the sub-class orbs perks. And upgraded heavy weapons. And upgraded sniper rifles. Cheers (and keep up the good work!)

Good guide indeed

Is there a noob guide for how to get this far in the first place?

Replying for reminder. Used this strategy a few nights ago. We had to stop because it was late but this was the closest we've got to beating him. Some dumb stuff happened but it's an excellent strategy in my opinion.

Thanks for posting this, I've had a few people carry me through Crota hard mode and have never felt like I contribute much but do try and listen. Thanks for sharing this.

Awesome clear guide! Even though I know all of this im sure it'll help those trying to tackle it.
