I can’t believe people are complaining about Destiny still. Just because it has a poor frame rate, game-breaking glitches and nerfs to weapons you didn't ask for does not mean you can call it a bad game. That’s just another example of gamer entitlement ruining the industry. If you’re reading this and have criticized Destiny in any way, shape, or form, you should feel ashamed. All the hard-working people who put in game-breaking bugs to the raids deserve to be paid for their efforts. At the very least, you should buy the season pass before you (unfairly) call it a bad game.
Do you realize that companies like Bungie/Activision simply exist because you demanded a game to play? They work hard to serve you and all you whiners do is complain about how their game is unplayable in raids or lags so hard in crucible you rip your entitled hair out. Forget about the 60 dollars you paid, forget about the DLC and season pass, just think about the company first.
Can’t you just appreciate what you have? Sure, you might have bought Destiny so you could play online only to discover that you are unable to stay connected to your friends without animal errors stomping your game, but you still have the game in your hands, right? People in poor countries don’t have access to Destiny like you do. So before you complain on the internet about your issues, stop and think for a second, does Bungie really need more people complaining about their Crucible connectivity?
This all boils down to gamer entitlement. Honestly, I can’t remember a time where a person simply bought a game and it just worked right from the beginning. It takes weeks, even months before a game is up to “gamer standards.” I don’t care about what the developers promised or how it looked in the trailers because you probably just misheard the developer or judged wrong about the trailer.
Stop expecting so much. Stop expecting games to be good or even competent because that’s putting undue pressure on these poor game companies. It’s really your fault if a game company makes a promise they can’t keep because you forced them to make a promise by having unreasonable expectations like 60 frames per second or 1080p. If you weren’t so entitled and selfish, maybe games could be better, but no, you had to ruin gaming with your greed.
So the next time you’re disappointed about a game, be disappointed in yourself instead for expecting so much. Maybe then you’ll learn a lesson about the game industry.
