Let's entertain this idea. If you use Nova bomb, yes it will cause more damage than a gun, but then atheon moves and the rest of your team misses. You fire and hit him again, atheon moves and your whole team misses. Ice breakers and black hammer can kill atheon in two portals. It's 22k damage with weapons of light. My black hammer does 16k alone. I use ice breaker which does about the same. You get 8 shots on atheon which means, around 100k damage for half of times vengeance. I also took into consideration that I will not be hitting criticals every time. I do hit them pretty often though. After my ice breaker goes to 0, I switch to vision if Confluence, and get 4 shots, each around 1800 per shot. Switch back to ice breaker with 5 seconds left, get 1 shit and run. I can do this every time and get the same results. You will Nova bomb, and will get different results. Atheon will move once you get your super off on him. He also moves when people throw grenades.
