I know the feeling.
The want of the perfect escape, which seems eternal, right up until the end. And when nights upon nights on end do not yield such an escape, things can become bleak, and you are forced to deal with reality. Then one day, you have the perfect dream, and it is gone before you can appreciate what had happened, before you can make the most of it.
But dreams can also be a scary place. While they can be the places where your utmost desires are fulfilled, they can also be mirrors directly into the soul. They reflect your innermost thoughts and fears as well, and may force you to look directly at what scares you the most. Most of the time, we are not strong enough to face it. It reminds us we are not perfect. We are human.
Dreams are great and mysterious things, and seem to give you not what you want, but what you need, if they occur at all.
I wish sweet dreams upon you, my friend, for it would seem to me that those are exactly what you need.
