Stop using guns to shoot ATHEON!!
Is it just me, or recently are all these christmas noobs posting on lfg as 30/31s and turning VoG HM into a shit fest.
I mean come on everyone. It is called a "SUPER". Your most powerful move. You ever wonder why your super charges so fast in the shield? Because bungie wanted you to use them. If everyone used their super. Atheon goes down IN 10 SECONDS. Ghorn is ok to use, if you are a defender. And if you have a double gernade perk. Use those first.
I swear these new guys. Thinking you need blackhammer. We did that shit for months with out it!
But I digress. Stop using your guns during times vengence. Supers only

Shoot a captain with a one sniper bullet. Does he die? No. Use one super on same captain. He dies. Why? Because the super is stronger. Now Time's Vengence multiples total damage out put. So why not multiple your strongest attack. You all just need to think about it and stop being so stupid.
Edit 4: Seriously everyone? Still don't believe me, well fine. Here, I recorded my fire team and I using supers only. Here the video. THIS IS PROOF IT WORKS.

Edit 5: Final edit. Everyone, accept it. This method is the best. All your icebreaker and blackhammer pale in comparison. SUPERS ARE THE BEST WAY TO KILL HIM.

Dude, titans can't use their supers, and hunters and warlocks only have one class with enough range to hit him from the bubble, and other weapons do more damage then the supers. Stop spamming this post. Your information is wrong

Hey noob have u ever actually watched the damage out put on ur super and ur maxed ice breaker there is no comparison. Ice breaker hits for like 25000 my super golden gun. Hits for around 1200 so ur wrong. Either ur a troll or just plain stupid. I will actually do atheon and record it today and post to prove that u are full of shit.

3 Replies20k crits with black hammer or 1k-2k hits with supers or -blam!- up people's aim with rockets and risk getting kicked... I'll stick with black hammer and down him within 1-2 attack rounds. Just a heads up everyone but if constantly use a rocket launcher and/or grenades to kill atheon after asked not to you have a good chance of getting kicked because you will be screwing up everyone else. [spoiler]feel free to use a rocket launcher while inside the bubble though. [/spoiler]

Supers don't do that much damage to him. Just saying. Snipers to the crit, or a team of gjallahorns will drop him in 1 - 2 rounds. Before you come on saying a method, do some research before opening your mouth otherwise you sound like an idiot

2 RepliesReally? Last I checked nova bomb and golden gun do around 3000-4000 damage. Icebreaker with weapons of light.......19000. So my gun is doing 4x more work than your super. Keep in mind. Times vengeance is taken into account.
