Fun fact: spraying water at The sun would actually only serve to make it brighter and hotter as well as increase in size, because the oxygen would be consumed and the hydrogen would be absorbed and used as fusion fuel, it's like what happens If you throw water on an oil fire, if the water didn't evaporate before it got there which it would, if You were to dump an amount of water on the sun that was around 2 solar masses larger than the sun is, then it would grow and heat up At such a significant rate so as to completely vaporize anything closer than Jupiter
