When I was young on St. Patrick's day my siblings and I would make leprechaun traps. We would make them out of shoeboxes and tape and we would put food in there as bait. One year my parents used erasers and ink to stamp little footprints onto my box and put a little metal leprechaun inside my box. I thought I had actually caught a leprechaun and it turned to metal. It was really cool and looking back I appreciate that they did that for me.
Have your parents ever done something like that for you in your childhood?
Edit: This really was supposed to be a happy thread but I should've known it was going to turn out this way.

Dude they did the classic Santa Claus tricks like eat some of the cookies and milk, say they tried to wake me up, they even cut off the power one time when I was determined to see him. They were like that for everything down to the tooth fairy, they really did make it very magical
