I've always wondered how other people quantify life.
My background:
I'm a commercial credit analyst, I'm a husband, I'm a father.
My perspective:
We are an anomaly in this infinitely large Universe. Now, that is not to say that we are "alone", an anomaly in this instance just means that, in my mind, life isn't a frequently occurring event in the Universe. We know so little, that could mean 5 earth like planets, it could mean a billion. The Universe is just that expansive.
With that perspective in mind, what does life mean to you? When we know that even if life is an anomaly, we are still so insignificant in the grand scheme. Yet we try to apply significance to our lives with things that we call legacies, careers, reputations.
So what does it mean to you? Is life given to us so we can pass the proverbial torch on to future generations in hopes that we can someday answer our most coveted questions?
Just some food for thought, rather than discussing first world gaming problems, or talking about the kardashians, or talking about what new trick our dogs learned last week.
Edit: so Occam's Razor. K.
