He was terrible. Not intelligent and didn't know how to run a country. He made all our current problems 10 times worse

He isn't doing an amazing job, but he isnmt horrible either. He could almost certainly do a lot better if Congress wouldn't oppose everything he says and does just because he's a Democrat. But it all comes down to that deeper issue. This political schism will do more damage than any individual ever could, and it needs to end (or at least be toned down) if we want to see real progress. But that requires both sides making compromises, which won't happen. There's also the possibility of just getting rid of parties all together (like Washington said we should), but that won't happen either.

It's not all Obama's fault. He's had a Congress for 5/7 years so far that is against him, making it hard to get stuff done. He also inherited the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. But I don't like his foreign policy when it comes to Iraq and Syria. I don't think we should be having any troops carrying a weapon in those countries.

7 RepliesQuestion is, will America ever allow itself to have another great President? At this point there is so much vitriol and negativity regarding ANY decision made by either side of politics that even if there was a great President, one side of politics will always be against what they stand for, what they try to do and what they hope to leave as their legacy. Going back decades it was more amicable, the emphasis of politics was on the greater good of the nation....now its just a way to try and bring people you disagree with down and do your best to ensure your side "wins" no matter the cost to the greater population. There are great Presidents in the United States' past but I do not think the current and future idiocy will allow there to be one in its future.
