Fans of the Vanquisher 8
First off, I just want too say I'm a big New Monarchy weapons and shaders fan. I have two of their shaders, and all the weapons except the rocket launcher, and the red hand unfortunately. Still waiting on the ship though, but I have plenty more ranks too burn through. Anyways, too the point. I was curious as to how many people prefer the V8 over other legendary Auto Rifles. I bought the one that the vendor sells, and honestly it wasent too hot.. But last weeks nightfall, I got another Vanquisher, this time with a stability perk, field scout, and third eye. It's pretty sweet! It now has a 42 round magazine, and the stability and radar perks really make a fine finish for this gun. What Perk rolls did you get for your Vanquisher?
Months later, I now have everything except the ship. One day, my friends. One day.

I love it! One of the best autos period. I got a decent roll: field scout put 42 in the clip with half glass full and melee increases reload speed- normally I don't like this perk but as I have such a large mag I don't need it BUT as I use it on gunslinger the throwing knife is classed as a melee strike! I get increased stability AND better reloads on consecutive head shots...

I prefer auto-rifles as my primary weapon. I had an original 1.0 version that I also got from legendary engram from a Vanguard Strike. It was easily my favorite weapon. It had the exact same perks as the one you have. I have been running all the NFs weekly just for the hope that I can get another. This weapon is a beast!!

By the way, high impact ARs are returning to Crucible and Vanguard vendors for House of Wolves. Hard Luck Charm for Vanguard (identical to Shadow Price stats *nudge nudge*) Rakshasta Compact for Crucible Vendor.

Ya I do new monarchy even tho I haven't bought any stuff from them yet I've gotten admonisher (the rocket launcher) it had horrible perks so I dismantled and have gotten the judgement (shotgun) it has amazing perk rolls! It has last round in the mag deals bonus damage more damage after a kill and I can pick between field scout or hammer forged! So very happy with that shotgun

I have nearly the same roll on mine, just no field scout. It's a solid auto rifle if they're your thing.. I think if I was an auto rifle guy I'd choose the Monte Carlo over it tho.

5 RepliesAny V8 with field scout is one of the best legendary auto rifles out there. I however rolled one that shall never be dismantled, with third eye, field scout, and outlaw. It's my go to auto rifle, even with the recent nerf. I've had to set it aside in preference for Three Little Words, but I still keep it in my inventory and transfer it to whatever character I use
