Fans of the Vanquisher 8
First off, I just want too say I'm a big New Monarchy weapons and shaders fan. I have two of their shaders, and all the weapons except the rocket launcher, and the red hand unfortunately. Still waiting on the ship though, but I have plenty more ranks too burn through. Anyways, too the point. I was curious as to how many people prefer the V8 over other legendary Auto Rifles. I bought the one that the vendor sells, and honestly it wasent too hot.. But last weeks nightfall, I got another Vanquisher, this time with a stability perk, field scout, and third eye. It's pretty sweet! It now has a 42 round magazine, and the stability and radar perks really make a fine finish for this gun. What Perk rolls did you get for your Vanquisher?
Months later, I now have everything except the ship. One day, my friends. One day.

The only AR I use besides suros, and sometimes I cant pick one, it's a beast.

Still one of my favorite Iron Banner weapons. Had the original and have the revision now. Everyone prefers the field scout perk, but a smaller mag will get you into your Glass Half Full perk faster. Of course, it would be better if the additional damage was more than just barely noticeable :-/

Field scouts a nice roll for v8... I have one with glass half full and the high caliber rounds.. I like it a lot... To bad it's getting nerfed soon :(

Dammnnn I love it. I'm a owner of 1 myself. Full maxed out but I bought it from the faction. 22 round. Just looked at yours and I must say. She's a beauty. Those perks. Wwwwwoooowwww Third eye and that 42 rounds damn.

I bought it when the DLC dropped. Had one before but wanted a 331. I love it over other vendor Autos because it's the only 28 impact auto left. I have 6 New Monarchy packages, I might get lucky and get a new one with good perks.

I have a last-gen version of the vendor Vanquisher VIII. While it's lacking in PvE, it's still nasty as hell in the Crucible.

It took me 3 Vanquisher's to find one with a stat roll I really enjoy. It has Reactive Reload - Reloading this weapon adds bonus damage for a short time, and Glass half full - Bottom half of the Mag grants bonus damage. Extremely useful to a person who likes high impact AR's.

This is what all the Autorifles used to be!!! high impact nice rate of fire and range and the DLC hit and all that was left standing was this AR gem.

Mine has all the Normal perks but I rolled crowd control with it and it's pretty good... I rather use that auto rifle than any other

My Vanquisher was obtained via Crucible Package. I was so excited when I got it, it was my second Legendary Weapon (Right after Judgement VI). After that, I just knew I had to support New Monarchy. I didn't get the best rolls, but they were helpful nonetheless. I got the perks where you would get a faster reload after a Precision kill, and then the faster reload if your mag is empty. To say the least, I was a slaughtering Auto-Machine who never ran out of bullets! XD

5 RepliesLol you guys and field scout... Not hating on it but when does it take more than 26 bullets to kill someone in pvp. The vendor one will suffice, glass half full perk ~13 bullets then proc, 42 rounds , ~21 bullets for the perk . Haha idk about going against 6 people, straight up , in pvp. Other than that, I'm on the boat with this gun, used it more than shadow price but I was rolled with a grim citizen with , third eye and glass half full perk so id have to be on my titan to use vanq... To bad id rather pvp on my hunter.

Vanquisher VIII with Field Scout is easily the best AR option in the game in my opinion. Got it from the postmaster a while back and it's been my go-to ever since.
