Fans of the Vanquisher 8
First off, I just want too say I'm a big New Monarchy weapons and shaders fan. I have two of their shaders, and all the weapons except the rocket launcher, and the red hand unfortunately. Still waiting on the ship though, but I have plenty more ranks too burn through. Anyways, too the point. I was curious as to how many people prefer the V8 over other legendary Auto Rifles. I bought the one that the vendor sells, and honestly it wasent too hot.. But last weeks nightfall, I got another Vanquisher, this time with a stability perk, field scout, and third eye. It's pretty sweet! It now has a 42 round magazine, and the stability and radar perks really make a fine finish for this gun. What Perk rolls did you get for your Vanquisher?
Months later, I now have everything except the ship. One day, my friends. One day.

I love the vanquisher but as far as pve goes auto rifles just don't cut it aside from The suros and now the abyss defiant. I do love my vanquisher though. I also got a red hand with a good roll that I use a lot

I think I got mine from nightfall and I love this gun. It is the main gun I use on one of my characters when I'm not leveling something else up.

My vendor version wasn't bad. The small clip is made up by a faster reload option. Especially on a hunter once you get your abilities attacks going.

1 ReplyHave two, one from nf and one from leg engram, and neither have field scout. I love the gun and use it a lot in pvp but that 22 bullets mag iz awful.

2 RepliesBought mine from the vendor. It was my first legendary weapon. One of the best AR's in the game even with the vendor version. Wish I had your perks and mag size though. Mag is only 22 on mine. That's the only thing I don't like about it.

Ever since the DB was released, I've been trying to get a legendary AR that has high impact since the new ARs in vanguard are horribly nerfed impact wise. So, I was going to grind crucible to get the marks to buy Vanquisher VIII I got it of a nightfall this week (it has field scout yay!). Praise RNGesus! You saved me potential rage moments in PVP :D.

I was rocking the shadow price for weeks and weeks, at thw time was my favourite auto. I had a vanVIII drop which had field scout (upgrade ammo from 22-42). 331 damage. And i love it. Ill never dismantle my shadow price but, ill also never put the vanVIII in the vault. Both awesome

I ranked new monarchy to 3 and no more, specifically for the V8. I love the gun but the vendor version didn't keep my attention long. If I can get a rerolled one from an engram or loot drop, with field scout, I'd be back on it baby. I prefer auto rifles with high impact over high rate of fire all day!

I only use V8 for Crucible. It's excellent despite its 22 round clip.

3 RepliesEdited by dist0rt: 2/12/2015 3:15:01 AMstill using vanquisher 1.0 with perfect balance, glass half full and the speed reload. one of the best guns for sure. finally decided on getting the 2.0, will have it next Tues. the gun went under the radar before the Dlc, glad to see it getting love, I worked hard to get it the first time around. BTW it was boss before the many AR nerfs.

it was my primary in crucible until i got the suros. mine has perfect balance which nearly maxes stability. big nm fan too. my hunter dresses nm all the way but the helmet.
