Fans of the Vanquisher 8
First off, I just want too say I'm a big New Monarchy weapons and shaders fan. I have two of their shaders, and all the weapons except the rocket launcher, and the red hand unfortunately. Still waiting on the ship though, but I have plenty more ranks too burn through. Anyways, too the point. I was curious as to how many people prefer the V8 over other legendary Auto Rifles. I bought the one that the vendor sells, and honestly it wasent too hot.. But last weeks nightfall, I got another Vanquisher, this time with a stability perk, field scout, and third eye. It's pretty sweet! It now has a 42 round magazine, and the stability and radar perks really make a fine finish for this gun. What Perk rolls did you get for your Vanquisher?
Months later, I now have everything except the ship. One day, my friends. One day.

Field Scout and Perfect balance. Had a 300 one with Spray and Play and some other reload speed on kill perk. At the time i thought it was overkill (both were the perks you can't unselect/change) and wasn't too happy with it, but miss it and would trade it for the one i have now. With the gloves I could literally hit reload and punch a mob and it would have finished the reload, not be interrupted.

I got Reactive Reload and Third Eye, don't have Third Eye unlocked yet but I LOVE THAT WEAPON. The stability is great and I don't even have perfect balance unlocked yet. It's just great.

I got one from the nightfall with glass half full and field scout and i love it.

Glass half full hammer forge (made it long range) feeding frenzy FTW!!! Got it from leveling up my Monarchy before the DLC! ^_^

1 ReplyI got one from a rank up package pre dlc so it only had 300 damage. However it oils hold 42 rounds. Loved it! Got the new one after dlc but it doesn't have the larger clip so yeah. Still really solid though.

I love my V8! Had 3 of them (one from the vendor), and ended up keeping my favorite one with: counter balance, field scout/perfect balance, and glass half full perks. This thing is a PVP and PVE beast!

Have a 1.0 version from a Vanguard Tiger Strike back in October. I'm an auto rifle fan and it quickly became my go-to primary (replacing my trusty Shadow Price). It had Field Scout and 3rd Eye. I don't use it much now because it's not the new version. Would love to get a 2.0 version with the same perks to drop for me somewhere.

If I want to do well in crucible I use the vanquisher but shadow price was my very first legendary (almost the same rifle) so I'm kinda bored of autorifles. Just not as good with anything else lol

I have to say, I'm pretty happy with the Vanquisher and I only have the vendor version. I think it'd be epic with the add-ons you listed for the second one that you acquired. The slower fire rate and higher impact/range make this a fantastic alternative to running a scout rifle. I'll definitely be using mine for a while.

I bought mine from New Monarchy as a replacement for my beloved Shadow Price and so far I love it. I has a bit of a slower fire rate but the "high caliber rounds" perk make up for it as targets stagger for a second and can't return fire. A larger mag would have been nice, but its a great upgrade AR. Cheers

I love the v8... While I'm using it to lay the smack down on the enemies of the light it also gives me my daily dose of fruits and vegetables in one delicious smoothly....

The old vanquisher VIII (real NM supporters use the Roman numbers) was much better than the one you can but now.

I would love to own a V8 because it looks like his has the highest Impact of any AR. However, any rep I earn that [i]isn't [/i] Dead Orbit feels like I'm wasting my life. (also V8 reminds me of that groos veggie drink)

I love my new monarchy weapons. Dismantled my vendor Vanquisher when I got a drop version with rangefinder and field scout. Just got a red hand with clown cartridge, luck in the chamber, and send it My purifier fusion rifle with fitted stock and maximum stability can take guys out at scout rifle range. I had the scout rifle, but the perks weren't as good as any of my others. I still kept it for a long time just because it looks awesome

I got perfect balance, the one yay gives bonus damage if you reload after a kill, and glass half full, it's awesome, just wish it had more range
