Fans of the Vanquisher 8
First off, I just want too say I'm a big New Monarchy weapons and shaders fan. I have two of their shaders, and all the weapons except the rocket launcher, and the red hand unfortunately. Still waiting on the ship though, but I have plenty more ranks too burn through. Anyways, too the point. I was curious as to how many people prefer the V8 over other legendary Auto Rifles. I bought the one that the vendor sells, and honestly it wasent too hot.. But last weeks nightfall, I got another Vanquisher, this time with a stability perk, field scout, and third eye. It's pretty sweet! It now has a 42 round magazine, and the stability and radar perks really make a fine finish for this gun. What Perk rolls did you get for your Vanquisher?
Months later, I now have everything except the ship. One day, my friends. One day.

Autos are shit now and it makes me sad. This game is going to become halo where only precision weapons are of any use whatsoever in competitive multiplayer.

The Vanquisher before DLC was insane. Instant reload on each kill, and it had higher stability than the DLC one (I checked). The new one is meh... and I've grown to really appreciate higher ROF autos. They are much less forgiving when you miss a shot in the Crucible, because you're shooting more frequently. The worst offender is the SUROS honestly. You better get all the headshots otherwise you'll lose the firefight (I found that my For The People would more consistently win 1v1 against SUROS holders).

My MS Paint Editing to describe all the percs is quite terrible, but I really enjoy my vanquisher with glass half full, third eye, and field scout..

Fan here. I have an old video with my v8 doing 36+ dmg with half glass perk pre nerf. I miss it。 。・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。

I bought mine from the store and am missing the "hammer forged" perks that my friends have on theirs :P even though, after the *second* AR nerf incoming range may be a moot issue on it anyway...

I got it from the Nightfall this week, it's a pretty awesome gun, be it'll never replace Shadow Price for me. Personally, I think Shadow Price is the better of the 2, but since SP is gone, Vanquisher is the nest best thing for people who do not have Shadow Price.

I had to farm NM rep to get my standard vanquisher mainly b/c used the shadow price before and I needed a simlar post dlc ar and the v8 fit the bill. It's a good rifle.

2 RepliesThe original Vanquisher (before the updated vendor items) was MUCH better (it had a much better impact rating.) In fact all auto rifles did, I still have my Shadow Price and Grim Citizen as well, but the Vanquisher was my first legendary I ever bought, and will always keep it.

Mine has counterbalance fitted stock and third eye if it rolled with perfect balance I'd be freaking out haha

Would trade it in for a red hand with decent perks though, my old one was a 300 only :( edit: got a helmet that shows radar for all primaries when aiming, so third eye is not necessary :)

Leveling NM just for a 331 V8, but the 300 is still valid in 95% of the game.

I have the same roll as you just got. I was fortunate and it dropped on the first day of the DLC for my Hunter. For me, it is pretty much THE best primary in the game in both PvE and PvP. (I can easily go toe to toe with Mythoclast users). It is a headshot machine and has awesome range (soon to be nerfed unfortunately).

Got my 4th one this week, finally a 331 version with both field scout and 3rd eye. Love that gun!

I'm so pissed! I had this fine auto rifle and did something so incredibly stupid by accidentally dismantling it. I'll be working on getting another ASAP.

4 RepliesNM is love. I use V8 and Judgment 7(?) on my Titan and red hand on my Warlock, but I only receive bad rolls on my other weapons... Dreaming of a sniper with armor piercing rounds and good stability
