Yea because destiny has a tendency of giving you what you already have or even more so what you already have just recently got. Not because exotics are weighted different.

Edited by PROCK7: 2/11/2015 2:03:39 PMI'm stating that the drop rate is retarded and needs fixing especially the dupe rate. Like you posted, I also have multiples of items and regardless of the weight of the item there shouldn't be multiple drops of the same item if possible though it can occur. I was exasperated when I got THREE of the same item (NLB) in a two hour block. That's ridiculous. Would you agree that needs to be changed? Edit: I read the rest of your chain with the other guy and I see evidence that people are placed in loot groups so there are more weighted chances for certain items. Your thoughts?

If you are looking for other things along those lines then I got another that just hit me while I was playing. Handing in engrams if you have a legendary and a whole bunch of blues. Hand in the legendary first and then quickly hand in all the blues. I get tons of blues turning legendary when I do this. What I do exactly is keep legendary engrams to the side. When I have a whole bunch of blues I take one legendary to open first before all the blues. Then I hand in the legendary first and then rapidly hand in all the blues.

Yeah I have seen that. Bottom line the loot system is odd and not sure if we will really know how it truly works. I may hate the 6 NLB but I have liked the 5 vex and 3 Ghorns lol.

My take on it is a bit two sided. At times it can be useful. For example I wanted more than one Mythoclast. So when I finally got my first one. The first thing I did right away was do another VoG (I remember I still had two more left). What do you know it drops me another one. Or another example is if I'm getting drops I don't want from say CE. I stop and wait a day or usually two and then do another one. This can help change the drops you would of got other than if you had done it really close together. Loot groups? No. Like when you said you got three NLB in two hours. It just likes to give you what you already have got but there are other things to it as well. Like dismantling something. You can get things you have just recently dismantled. Whether or not it is supposed to be like that is beyond me. I doubt it but maybe it is supposed to be made to be that way.

Yeah I get that and of course seen it but hot damn 3 of the same exotics in just two hours! And twice in same raid! >.<
