That escalated quickly.

Just tell him the reason why are you are going to block him.
-
Awkward moment when he sees this post Friend: So, uh... Been on the forums lately? You: Umm yea just to find raid groups and stuff. Friend: you sure that's all? You: Why do you ask? Friend: well i see you left the world a nice little "message" about the way i acted, and you want to get rid of me... You: about that... *A player has left your fireteam*
-
Don't bother, if he rages that much he won't live to see 40.
-
I can't believe you would do this to me Brian. We have been besties for years. We have even kissed once! (It's not gay because we were friends and there was no romantic intention.) YOU HAVE REALLY BROKE MY HEART B! I HATE YOU YOU MOTHER DOVVDDHJBVGFHHVFDHJHBHGCFH! Jk man. I hope you can figure it out with your friend. ;)
-
I love these people. I'm also one of them sometimes but usually i take the mic off first.
-
My brother was like that on cod. We could only play maps he liked and he would leave if he got killed too much. Leaving me and friends to either carry on with the game or quit and join him. Needless to say that I've blocked the prick in the gaming world and the real world. Seriously can do without people like him ruining everyone else's good time.
-
You can't control his behavior, stop trying. If he's toxic to game with then stop, this is supposed to be fun.
-
Just be honest with him. Seriously, if you guys are RL friends he should understand that you've taken all you could of his antics and can't deal with it anymore. People like that make the game stressful, not fun. And he needs to understand at it's HIS behaviour that's ruining the experience for others, not the other way around. He can be a rage case all he wants, but it's going to be by himself. This is the only way he can even begin to see the err of his ways and maybe one day calm his -blam!-ing tits. Doesn't matter how skilled he is if he ruins the experience for everyone.

If you're on Xbox, pay the $10, change your Gamertag & don't tell him about it. Then you don't have to block, and it'll look like you're not online. You can block him specifically, but he would probably see that he is blocked (never blocked anyone, so not sure).
-
Remove him from friends. Simple.
-
Edited by S373N: 2/10/2015 9:17:46 PMDude stop being a pussy and man up. Tell the dude the truth either shut the -blam!- up and act like a grown ass man or he will not be playing with you anymore. Explain his bullshit gives you a migraine, embarrasses you, and quite frankly sucks the fun out of the game. If he does not get it just smash delete and never look back. -blam!- that noise. Anyone acts like that in my server they get one warning. After that they are gone friend or not. Alternatively set him on MUTE.
-
Uh. Just tell him the next time he acts like a child, you're done playing with him. Then stick by your word. I refuse to play a raid with someone that acts like a high school coach trying to make it big time.
-
I'm curious what the top 1% of destiny players even means. How did you determine that? Also, good suggestions were to mute, or to tell him about his rage. My group has one guy who rages like that but we just make fun of him and he knows he rages so we all laugh.
-
You can block him but he will catch on. It's not that hard to realize someone blocked you. Better to just tell him off to his face like a man who has a set.
-
We can't help you without being able to diagnose his behavior. Record his next episode and post a link to it.
-
This title had me laughing more than I should have. Are you on ps4? I want to experience rage.
-
I have a friend like that. I don't know if he is in the top 1% or anything like that, but he rages about Destiny like there is no tomorrow. Gets irritating pretty much all of the time, but he is a cool guy and he plays well. I believe my friend has a right to his opinion, and a right to express it. I deal with it because we have a lot of fun playing other games, and when he runs in my fireteam on a raid, things go smoothly. What more can you ask for? I just troll him about it these days and laugh it off. Hang in there.
-
I don't get it, what's the issue? Just tell him that you don't want to hang out anymore, and tell him why. Why do you need to "secretly block" him? Why do you need to tiptoe around him and pretended to be one way while really feeling another? You're being a worse friend by not being honest with him. The top x% of players in a video game are the bottom x% of people that are actually doing something with meaning in their life.
-
He flips out like a ninja? I didn't realize ninja were particularly susceptible to emotional outbursts. I always assumed that the masters of stealth and assassination would actually be quite calm and controlled most of the time. Perhaps those Sho Kosugi movies I saw as a kid gave me the wrong impression.
-
Introduce him to the marijuanas.
-
Just mute him if you don't want to delete him.
-
PS3 or PS4?
-
It sounds like you have talked to the guy and he just won't listen to reason. I would just start passive aggressively making fun of him in the party for everyone to hear. That way he gets put in his place. Maybe he won't be so likely just to jump in on your fire team anymore either. Does the dude rage like that in real life or just online?
