I believe you're correct. If the Battlefront series is to be believed, Kamino sided with the Rebellion and the cloning facilities were destroyed.
Also, we don't know he's *Actually* a stormtrooper.

That happened before the rebellion even formed. This Kamino incident happened during the early days of the empire.

Right, specifics are always a little fuzzy in those sorts of games. All I know is that it was after the conversion to the Stormtrooper-type armor.

It's all a bit wibbly. Regardless, clone troopers stopped being made. Also, both are non-canon anyhow
