The Ochman Hunt - Chapter 10

The Ochman Hunt Chapter 9 - The Light At the End... https://www.bungie.net/ko/Forum/Post/137290003/0/0 ------------------------------------------ Chapter 10 - Judgement I ran away as quick as I could. Nex was faster than Xivilax and I could barely keep ahead of him. But I knew if I didn't act quickly, this thing would tear me apart. It wasn't Nex anymore, no matter what I thought. Without hesitation, I leapt into the air and fired off a Void Anchor from my bow to slow the creature down. I hoped my powers worked and to my luck, they did. I then drew my handcannons, firing off all six rounds from each weapon into Xerxese, but he didn't even flinch. I even used Bad Juju against him and not once did he recoil. It probably tickled him. My Void Anchor would soon dissipate so I used my remaining time to put some distance between myself and the creature. Tenerris suddenly came over the intercom. "What's the matter, Serenity? I figured after Soldalun and all them other Inflicted you fought, this would be a cake walk. Guess I was wrong. Maybe we need to incite you to fight, since runnin' away seems to be a personal speciality of yours." A door on the side of the arena near me opened and out flowed an entire swarm of Hive, similar to the one I faced during my first time in the arena. I thought for sure I was f*cked. There was no way any of what was going on could get worse. I kept running around the arena as fast as I could, not stopping for anything. Xerxese was caught up in the Hive hoard and was slowing him down, which helped out a bit. But that all went south when Tenerris came over the intercom again. "Little lady, I'm not sure you understand the situation yet. I asked you to fight in my arena, NOT RUN AWAY LIKE A GODDAMNED PUSSCAKE. NOW I'VE ABOUT HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR SHIT ALREADY. It's time for you to die." Another gate opened but this time, it was Verondris and Xivilax walked out, with an entire army of the Lost behind them. I thought for sure it was the end. I just kept my pace up and didn't even look back. It was all I could do. Tenerris wanted me dead, and I wasn't going easily. When they gained on me, I simply threw a smoke grenade down and covered my tracks for a few moments. But I grew tired fast. These creatures had seemingly infinite stamina, and I had none anymore. Just when I thought Xerxese would make his giant lunge from the hoard and snatch me, time suddenly seemed to stop. I took a moment to catch my breath and when I turned around, all of the creatures were completely frozen in place. The crowd was no longer cheering and grew eerily quiet. When I looked up to Oryx though, he was still in motion, glaring at me with his now red eyes and giving off a hardy, evil laugh. "This little one has some determination in her, wouldn't you agree, Tenerris?" Oryx said, gesturing to me. "Oh please, sire, I hardly call running away a feat to highlight. Allow me to take care of this one personally. I've bested her before and I can guarantee ya I'll do it again." "Hmm... Very well. Prove to me you are still worthy enough to be the commander of this operation. And if you are undermined, I believe I know of a successor to take your place." Oryx looked at me, giving a disgusting grin. I bursted into rage. "No, I'll never fall before you! I'll die first!" "Oh my, human, I'm afraid it's no longer your choice. It is mine." Oryx waved on Tenerris who jumped off of his platform and landed in front of me, drawing his hand cannons. I took a few steps back and drew mine as well, aimed directly at his head. In one swift movement, Tenerris took a giant leap over me, shooting down while I shot up. My shields took most of his shots but while still in the air, he activated his Fist of Havoc near me and sent me flying into the walls of the arena. After I removed myself from the hole in the wall, I was immediately greeted with more handcannons rounds, a few compromising my armor. I quickly took a leap off of the wall and threw a throwing knife at the Titan, managing to stick him in his knee. But to my surprise, he just pulled out the knife and laughed. "This is all you got? A tiny little thorn? I'm sorry if I've had any respect for you these past few years. It's obviously been misplaced. Just like your heads 'bout to be." Tenerris made an attempt to throw the knife at me but I dodged it, quickly putting twelve more bullets into him. The knife managed to get his shields down long enough so that I didn't need to take them down again. My handcannons were able to penetrate his armor and damage him severely. In a cry of pain, he knelt onto the ground and fell over on his back, clutch his stomach wounds. "Good. Now end him," Oryx spoke eagerly. I raised The Last Word up to the head of Tenerris, his helmet still busted and cracked from the bullets I fired. I was ready to fire when I heard the sound. A shriek, like Xivilax. But it wasn't Xivilax. And it wasn't Verondris. Xerxese. Chapter 11 - The Taken King https://www.bungie.net/ko/Forum/Post/187142479/0/0
