Enter the Darkness Chapter Four Part One

[i]So after some issues, I have finished chpater 4. Now before you read this (And I will be saying this from now on) this is not canon to the actual story. Events that happened in game will be different then how I write it. (duh) So Enjoy and criticism is needed. And it seems to me that this chapter is too big for the size of the post so i will be splitting up the chapter in to two parts. Enjoy the read[/i] ===================================================================================================== "So, you three know about the legend of the Black Garden, right?" The Kilear and Shadow turn there heads to Nova. Nova gives a dirty look to them both. "Yes. I have." He looks back at Cayde. "It’s the heart of the Vex." "Correct. Now is the time we need to hit it." "But there's a problem and you want us to figure it out right?" Nova asks. "Yeah, not really. We know the problem. It involves the Awoken. We need you to go to the Reef and speak with the Awoken Queen. She will know how to get into the Black Garden." "Why can't other Guardians do it?" Kilear asks. "Well with the recent changes in the House of Wolfs, the queen is now the 'keil'. She killed the old Keil and now she is leader of them. We don’t trust many guardians going near the Reef, but we do know you three will not act like idiots." Cayde gives Shadow an Head of a Gate Lord. "You'll need this. All we know is that you need this head. It was scavenged off of a Gate Lord. See what she knows about the Black Garden. "I'll take that." Nova takes the head out of Shadow's hand. "I'll run a scan while we are going to the Reef." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The ships exit the Long Distance Jump to the Reef. "You know I've never been to the Reef." Kilear stated. "Well some notes. One: Always make eye contact with anyone you talk to. Two: Don't challenge the Queen's Brother. That’s Shadow's job….We're near the Reef. Switch you com channel to three." Nova flips a couple of switches in the Ship. "Unauthorized ship. Proclaim your actions here or be shot down." Two Awoken ships are following the fire team. "We are the Vanguard's Sentinels requesting your Queens assistance." Nova proclaims. A long pause. "Follow us and do not stray off course." The Awoken ship moves ahead of the fire team. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Land in the docking bay over there. Follow the Guards orders and don’t do anything stupid." The Guardians exit there ships to be confronted by three Fallen and one Awoken. Kilear pulls out his knife. "Stand down guardians," says the Awoken. Kilear sheaths his knife. "There with the Queen. Don’t be an idiot and try to fight them. Give your weapons to the Quartermaster in their and then follow me." The fire team walks up to the Quartermaster and drop there weapons onto the table. "Don’t worry you'll get them back when you leave. The fire team follows the guard to the Queens throne. "Please, have your manners to the Queen. You would hate to have her Fallen on your ass." The guard stops at the door and knocks. There was a slight pause than two knocks from the other side. "Go inside." The fire team walks inside to see the throne turned around and two Vandals on each side of the throne. An Awoken man was standing in front of the throne with his arms crossed. As the fire team gets to the end of the catwalk like walkway, Shadow and Nova bow. Kilear, confused, gets pulled down by Nova. "Show respect or her brother will hound on you." The throne turns toward the fire team. "Stand." The fire team stands up. The man steps forward. "You seek the attention of Her Majesty. Speak your request and we will consider." Nova steps forward. "Your Majesty, we request your service in help with the Black Garden. We have the head of a Vex Gate Lord. We believe you know how to get into the Garden." "Heh, you guardians are insane. To think you actually want to go to the heart of the Vex. No we will not help you. Be gone." The man turns around as Shadow walks up to him. "Why won't you help us? What have we done that turns you away?" The man turns back around and bows up to Shadow. "Because if I want you to die, I would kill you myself." "Brother. Come forth and debate our options before you do something harsh." The Queen states. The Brother walks to the Queen. As they whisper to each other, Nova pulls Shadow to the side. "Ok. I know you tend to challenge him, but right now would be the time to be on his good side." Shadow nods and steps to the side of Kilear and Nova. "I see Sister." The Brother walks up to the fire team. "The head please." Nova brings up his Ghost and it materializes the Vex head. The Brother stabs into its eye and yanks it out. "Here you go. It has the coordinates to the area to activate the Garden." "Thank you. Let's go." The fire team turns around and heads out toward the exit. "I would say that you and your Traveler are in our debt. If we need you, we will call for you." The Queen proclaims. Nova turns around. "I'll be sure to fulfill any request you need, Your Majesty." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nova and Shadow walk up to Cayde with the eye. "We now know how to open the Black Garden. This eye is still charged, so all we have to do is put the key in the slot." Cayde takes the eye. "Now where is this 'slot' you speak of?" "Before we got here we scouted out some coordinates that the Queen gave us. It was in a Cabal stronghold." Shadow hands Cayde a map of the area. "Alright. We will get a fire team there and we will inform you when it is placed. By the way, where is Kilear?" "He's updating the Speaker on our mission." "Alright. Go get some rest Guardians.
