I'm sorry but I refuse to be a part of this group anymore
The CoK is all phonies making wild speculations and assumptions but will quickly dismiss anyone else that makes connections even if the same logical thought process is used.
I came here with the intention of philosophy but was met with closeminded self righteousness
Since people to continue to respond negatively maybe you should read through the 200+ comments that kept this thread alive
Several supporters back this theory becuase they understood and read the grimoire
If you are a naysayer you didn't provide backing evidence for your counter argument
Ignorant hypocrites

Had you read the early theories, like mine, you would probably change your mind. Now all the theories are corrupt, I agree. Please though read some of the older posts, those are probably the most philosophical you can go.

You know the 6 stands for how many times his exo brain was reset? Interesting theory
-
Can you explain your theory even a little?
-
Unrelated, following the VoG Legends and Mystery grimoire that was released recently. The Exo seem to have been created for a Time War with the Vex.

"My old friend Andal—he used to stand here, right in this spot—he'd come up with these wild stories. He'd say, you know, Cayde, I've been examining the evidence, and personally I've come to think it's you. You're Rasputin, legendary Warmind, defender of Earth. And I wish you'd remember that, so you could reclaim your full power and save us all." -Rasputin Ghost Fragment 1- So what does this tell us? Andal loves trolling Cayde
-
Ghost did say that it was the same pair of eyes that was accessing the terminals. It could only be an exo gaurdian. Read the exo grimoire. "Someone wanted to live forever."
-
I'm not going to say it's not possible but I think it's highly unlikely. The lore books are so far suggesting that cayde 6 was one of the people working with dr shim's team. The whole Exo development program (where they came from, who made them, why they were made) is probably going to be the focus of a future set of expansion missions.

Makes sense. I'm on patrol And I realize Rasputin is up there orbiting. And I feel like I want to claim his territory. I want to save this universe and be the one to thank. Then a warsat crushes me and kills me instantly. Moral of the story
you can't take the sky from me
Nice idea, but your arguments just aren't compelling. "Do your own research?" isn't a solid debate tactic and kinda gives you away as being a hack.

Edited by NobodyJustBrad: 10/9/2015 6:19:09 PMTitle - Something related to an epiphany from the lore Body - "I read some stuff and this is what I think. Go do your own research." That's not how these posts work, fella. Is the Collective of Knowledge just letting any Joe Schmoe in these days? Also, what does simultaneous existence have to do with Crota???
-
And here I was, halfway through a very convincing theory that Cayde is none other than..
Gunnery Sergeant Buck
-
Why would we even go on a mission to activate Rasputin with the array? Why wouldn't cayde just do it himself? He knows everything, the war should be over with cayde being Rasputin. Meh not enough evidence and any evidence is just circumstantial.
-
Cayde-6 is actually Capt. Malcolm Reynolds.

I was reading through the Vex grimoire, and I think I agree with the people that think Cayde-six is really Dr. Shim. Sundresh, Shim, Chioma, and Eis are very clearly operating Exo's in Vex 4 while they are sending simulations into the vex network. In Vex 3 though they use a warmind to rescue the simulations from a vex mind. This means that they both had access to a war-mind, and that the war-minds existed before they were 'digitized' into the exo. I think that the current version of Dr. Shim in Cayde-6 is probably one of the replications, since the human body could not last the 500+ years since the collapse even if it were in some kind of preservation chamber.

Pretty cool summery, sounds possible. Cayde has way too much personality though

This week on: Worlds Worst Theories

Chappie has bling!?!

I think he's Dr shim. The personality is so similar dr shim loves to make bets, crack jokes. And deep stone crypt is theorized to be the citadel on Venus

Edited by lickwid elite: 10/7/2015 2:44:12 PMNice theory.... what does Anonpig think? AKA the "lore master"
-
So... Are you implying that Rasputin's artilect is actually a "copy" of Cayde's consciousness? That perhaps, Rasputin or the warminds in general were part of or the ultimate goal of the Exo project that the Clovis Bray folks were working on? That's pretty thin...
-
This is a bit of a stretch, can you provide more support?

The grimoir carries almost concrete evidence that the exos were once part of the warmind. Whether or not Cayde is some kind of embodiment of Rasputin is an interesting topic... Rasputin 4: I SEE YOU!!! You’ve been here before. Haven’t you. It’s like my cousin said, elsewhere: I know who you are. You stand here now and now and now many times and here I am awonder, all awonder, how you manage it. How do you step forward. How do you step back. Do you step ACROSS is there a world of worlds, a web, and you a spider upon it. Are you searching for that one thread you need? Is that thread named victory? You’re not one of THEM [long dead, alive again, their bodies grafted to powers they and I do not understand] and not one of IT [the flower eater, the queen of final shapes, that which also inhabits its petitioners] and you’re certainly not MINE although once you must have been [I bear an old name. It cannot be killed. Not even here.] So whose are you, little platform. What purpose do you serve? Will you listen to me? Ghost fragment: Exo Stranger: I stand here now and now and now many times, this view, this ground...
