Bungie needs to add a ranged titan super to Destiny, why?? because every class in Destiny has a ranged super besides for Titans. Warlocks can get midrange kills with the nova bomb, or get buffs with sun-singer, and Hunters can use Golden Gun. This lack of a projectile super becomes especially apparent during boss-fights.
The reason this came up was because I was playing the weekly heroic strike with three defender titans when the Summoning pits was the weekly heroic strike, so I decided to switch to Striker codex. However Fist of Havoc's attack just seemed to just roll off Phogoth instead of damaging him, and he would immediately counter by insta-killing me. So when I ask for a ranged super, I don't mean "long-range" or even "medium range", I just mean a projectable offensive super which can be used to damage a boss, while the player can still be far enough away from the boss not to get blasted by the bosses proximity attack (Some examples of proximity attacks would be; Phogoth and Archon priest both doing an insta-kill stomp, and Fallen Walkers releasing Arc grenades).
Also this 3rd subclass should be a solar damage subclass, because Titans only have Void and Arc subclasses for now. Also warlocks and hunters would be getting subclasses for their respective missing elemental type as well.

Seems like you chose the wrong class.
-
I agree with you only because using fist of havoc is highly not recommended on bosses.
-
Titans have helm of inmost light which makes their super a ranged attack
-
Ohhh yah so now I have to be afraid of being close AND far away from the broken Titan class
-
Ummmmm FOH
-
Just like the hunters need an area affect super

Edited by JustOnePepsi: 10/5/2014 12:33:03 AMOne of the few choices you get to make in this game is your class selection... yet here you are, complaining that your class isn't like other classes. smdh

Use Death From Above perk. It makes it where you can rocket your Fist of Havoc super instead of the normal ground pound. Jet pack into the air then use your super, greatly effective in pvp and it's useful to get across great distances.

Play as striker, spec FoH for shockwave. You now have a mid ranged super.
-
Titans have a ranged super...it's the perk attached to fist of havoc that send a shockwave out in that direction dealing dmg to stuff in its path.

I could totally get behind this. It could even just be midrange to keep them still more oriented toward a smash mouth style. Maybe something similar to the cabal psions energy blast, but solar based. I'd also like to see the third hunter sub class be more team oriented. Maybe even as "simple" as a summon of sorts. Create a friendly mob I draw fire away from the team. Or maybe even a trap based sub class like I've seen mentioned around here. Something with less damage focus and more control focus. I'd love hunters to get a few slows and confuses mixed into their potential strategies. Warlocks might benefit from a similar team/support oriented treatment for their third subclass. Though I'm drawing a blank on ideas at the moment short of a simple heal/buff based sub class.

There is its called jumping fist of havoc

Edited by Ultron: 10/5/2014 12:50:03 PMor you Give the Titan actual ARMOR Warlock Super = Range Titan Super = Close Range Hunter = OP PvP = Unbalance
-
The titan is a tank class, but it has no tank capabilitys its weird, its a tank without any amrour
-
As a titan I do not support this topic.
-
Well I use the striker subclass for the whole of VoG and it does well.

Aim Death from Above correctly and you'll cover quite a distance because your character will travel diagonally downwards instead of just a vertical drop. Also, if you happen to have the Helm of Inmost Light, then you can even further improve the range of your attack. Since this helmet grants you Death from Above for free, you can use the freed up spot for equipping Shockwave. So, after you successfully aim your Death from Above, your Fist of Havoc will send out a shockwave which travels towards the direction you're facing upon impact.

I would like a ranged, but I understand why we shouldn't also. Hunters are Pvp based one hit kills with a timed spree, titans are more for crowd control, with our bubble and fists, a team player. Warlocks, I think their next skill will be like hunter.. I think since they supposed to be magical, they can have all three paths, a aoe nova bomb, a team playing sunsinger(with armor boost maybe to be more like a Titan) and I think their third class will be electric type with hunter style ulti... Or maybe cqc like all te other electric skills have been for hunter and titan

Honestly when I chose then titan class i though it would be the ultimate bullet sponge. Like you could take insane amounts of damage and keep on truckin, but you get a bubble shield and a ground smash and thats just fine with me

Edited by ARealLiveBear: 10/5/2014 2:17:21 AMYour bubble has a pretty decent range :) it's like 15 feet across
-
Death from above... It has insane range on it if used correctly.
-
This is really nerdy, but I feel a Dragonball Z Kamehameha style energy blast would be both most fitting, and badass.
-
We Titans should have sort of like a hadouken orb of solar power that we hurl and when it makes contact with something it explodes
-
Warlock= 2 ranged supers Hunter=1 of each Titan=2 close range supers
hunter master class
-
Oh please, panic fist of havoc asshat.
-
I have a feeling Titans might be getting some sort of melee subclass.
