this is my first story part one its kinda dark and part 2 will be coming soon corrected by: calmity
I heard the dull thud of my foot steps as I walked down the abandoned street. The buildings towered far above my head as I walked on the cold hard street. There was a slight drizzle as a few drops landed on my head; I pulled my cloak tighter around me as I picked up my pace. My name is Zeo Cosavo. I’m a male Exo Hunter aligned with the Dead Orbit and soon to be late for our mission briefing. I trudged on, slowly but surely, making my way toward the tower where all the guardians meet. This was my first mission since the incident in the sand tombs; every thought of it brought fresh recollections of that horrid blood bath. Suddenly, I was pulled from my thoughts as my radio crackled to life, “Cosavo where are you!”
“On my way sir, I had a minor setback on the way out but it’s all taken care of.”
”Better be!” my general growled into my radio. Gosh I hated him. As I arrived at the tower I showed my ID to the security bot and it let me pass. As I walked down the hall I turned at the sign that read briefing room. As I entered I saw the rest of my squad, two Awoken, a male and female, one Exo, male, and one Human male. The Awoken male's name was Jarut Bansiev, a Warlock with an incredible precision when using SMGs. The Awoken female's name was Janat Bansiev, a Mechanic known to be able to fix anything. The male Exo was “Slash”, nicknamed because his mind was wiped by his creator who then mysteriously disappeared, while the Human male, was Cole Zander. Both men were titans with incredible fighting abilities, both of whom I would entrust my life.
"Finally you’ve arrived! Now, let’s get this briefing going.” said the commander
"Ok, you will be traveling to one of the inner rings of Saturn to inspect a Derelict ship where we lost a squad a couple of days ago. We've had no connection with them since about then. This is a search and rescue OP; you move out at 0600 hours. Dismissed!”
We all left the briefing room.
“Hey Zeo, why were you late?” asked Cole.
“There was a slight delay in my schedule” I replied.
“What was it?”
“Oh. I got caught up in a little problem with a few citizens. Apparently they saw a Fallen behind one of the dumpsters but when I checked, there was nothing there.”
”Haha those citizens will make up the craziest things” laughed Cole.
“Ok. See ya at 0600” I said, walking off.
“Later Zeo.” he said, waving me off.
CHAPTER 2
I headed to the armory to get suited up when it was an hour till departure. I stepped in and went to my locker pulling out my tactical armor and heading to my starship. As I entered, I was greeted by an automated voice.
“Welcome back Chief. You’ve been gone a long time."
I replied, "I’m glad to be back! Prep the engines for takeoff and set our course. We are leaving in 15 minutes”
”Yes Sir” responded the voice. I heard the hum of the engines turning on as I walked to the main cabin and climbed into the pilot seat. I checked the ammo on my dual side mounted chain guns and my dual photon cannons were also full. I then checked the fuel, good. The hull integrity, check. And we were ready to take off. I heard the general’s voice come over the radio
“Time to take off. See ya when you come back.”
I switched my radio channel to squad and said, “Ready team firestorm?”
“We are all prepped and ready to go!" answered Slash
“Ok let's go.” I said as I gunned the engines, causing a huge smoke cloud to rise around me. The docking clasps holding my starship released their grip and I was off. I looked out my window and saw two ships while the third was out of my view. We flew past the ominous, looming hulk of the Traveler as we all prepared for Black Hole travel. I was the first to brake the atmosphere on our journey to Saturn. I hit a button and suddenly a swirling vortex of black energy appeared in front of me as I flew into it. In mere seconds, I came out the other end and looked at the majestic sights in front of me. The rings of Saturn were magnificent with a unique, mysterious glow. We headed straight for our objective. When we all arrived at our freighter destination, I safely climbed into my boarding pod and launched. I felt a jarring bump as I hit the ship and a loud sawing sound filled the air as the pod used its diamond tipped cutters to slice a hole in the ships outer plate. I waited for the rest of my group to arrive and we got ready to delve deep within the ship to search for the missing squad.
CHAPTER 3
As I walked down a long passage within the ship I started noticing strange movement near the walls.
“Hey does anyone else sense something moving around or is it just me?” I said.
“Yeah, definitely not just you. I’m getting creeped out” Janat commented as we came up to an intersection with three paths.
“Ok squad. Janat go with Jarut to the right, I'll go to the center. Slash and Cole to the left. Sound good?” I asked.
They all responded with an Ok but Cole looked very worried.
“Don’t worry Cole I’ll be fine” I assured him.
“Ok man but everyone keep your radios on ok?” said Cole.
We agreed and flicked our radios on. Then we split up and I knew I was breaking my biggest rule, to never explore on your own, but I had to. I flicked on the under-mounted flash light on my rifle and as I walked I saw strange organic looking spider web-like structures. That’s when it got weird. I kept on walking when the few lights still powered, flickered out. Now my only source of light was my flash light and the minimal battery left in my helms night vision modification that I had forgotten to charge before boarding. I shined my light down the hall and saw something run by. I noticed it was a little closer this time. I slowly crept down the hall when out of the corner of my eye I caught what it was. I turned and saw the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. It was the body of one of the squad members that came before us hanging from the ceiling by a few wires. Her body was bloated and the area around the neck slightly purple. There also was three gaping gashes in her chest so large, my whole hand could fit through them. There was blood splattered on the floor and I looked at her name tag. It read Quincy W. Smith. I moved on from the horrifying sight taking her dog tags as proof that she was dead. But then, out of nowhere I heard a blood curdling scream and as I bolted down the hall I just barely caught a glimpse of a strange creature pulling Janat's body down the hall leaving a streak of blood behind. I turned the corner to find a cargo bay and in the center under a light was a horrific sight. The creature was clawing away at Janat's body, ripping it to shreds. I leveled my rifle, took aim and pulled the trigger. BAM! A spray of blood came pouring from its head as my bullet hit it, but then something strange happened. It was as if its soul was being ripped from its body as a white streak of light shot into the air. I rushed over to Janat with an increasingly panicked fear about what I might find.

Read chapter 1, didnt read the rest only because im not a good reader lol...but chapter 1 was pretty good, setting the story up, One thing i think you did real well was it made me ask the question...Whats the briefing for? is it a combat op? a recon mission? You know it made me want to read the rest to uncover what else was going to happen. Ill most likely read the rest soon

Recommend you use Google Docs, eventually they cap your post after a certain character amount. It's also easier to work in Google Docs, in my opinion.

I have found quite a few minor errors that could be fixed, I started to make a list but rather than do so I'd like to ask you if I can just correct them and repost your draft revised? I will only correct grammatical errors, punctuation, etc. I won't change the story or descriptions.

Thanks so much I will go in and fix that!

What malak said. Also, walls of text are bad. Use paragraphs and skip lines between speakers.
