OEP's monthly need your opinion thread
As most of you are aware, I am currently saving up for a car, and my main idea has been a current gen Camaro SS
However, after checking insurance prices, and in general I'd be making payments on the thing. I actually have the ability to save up and buy a mid mileage Trans Am if I wanted. I love 4th gens like no ones business, my uncle had an LS1 4th gen WS6 when I was a kid and it was a kick ass car to ride in.
I know I'd have to grow a mullet, but I've always wanted a Trans Am. I could take the money I saved from not having payments on the 5th gen Camaro and put it towards making my Trans Am my own.
What do you guys think? I'm not going to make this public because the flood is a pack of idiots, but I figured I can get some solid advice from you guys.

6 RepliesJust an update, I am in the process of moving, and finances are a little tied up at the moment That said, everything should return to normal in a couple months. My friend at work has an '02 SS, and was cool enough to let me rip it a little friday night after work. Long story short, I am pretty much over the moon for LS1 powered F-bodies.

If you like the Trans Am more then get it, if not continue with your Camaro plan. Personally though I'd rather have the Trans Am. I think it looks better and is more unique.
