Porcshe being sued in Paul Walker case
Apparently the widow of the driver thinks that the car was only going 55.
I'm sure the DOT tested the evidence already, but if the memory chip from the airbag is intact, it would tell the real speed at time of impact.

I've never seen a tire suddenly steer a direction by itself without a suspension part failing. But one tire alone at 55? Sounds very unlikely to me.

Tires and suspension don't usually fail at 55 out of nowhere. Just sayin, people I know and myself routinely drive that fast, never heard of tires or suspension randomly failing. I've seen tires punctured by odd objects though.

I saw this. I think she's going to lose horribly. The guy probably went too fast and lost control. Also wasn't the car modified? Even if there was a suspension problem how can porsche be liable if the car was modified?

If it was a problem with the suspension it would have been noticed before the exact moment the incident took place. I feel like it was drivers error in this case. It's sad, but trying to use her husbands death to get rich is much worse

If the suspension setup snapped under acceleration it could happen The statement would be a little more believable if they said the rear tire would have blown causing him to lose control of the car at speed. What likely happened was that he was hooning a -blam!-ing powerful car and it got away from him.

Heard out about this this morning. I guess this is how she's mourning her loss? She needs to get a grip and accept the reality. Unless she's just money grubbing, then she's an idiot. Well, I guess either way she's going about this in a pretty moronic manner.

If Porsche has half a brain- they will fight it and drown her in debt from law fees. Apparently losing a husband wasn’t bad enough... now she will try to capitalise on that loss... and lose everything else she has... What a pity.
