I posted this in Porsche 914's other Mustang thread, but wanted knew it would get lost in the obscurity of the 'All Topics' forum.
This link has a series of spy shots of what can be seen of the new Mustang's front end, finally.
Here is a rundown of what is known about the next-gen Mustang.
-It will have IRS
-It is 400 lbs lighter and is overall smaller dimension-ally
-There will be a 300 hp turbocharged 4 cylinder in the base models (pulled from another source)
-The GT's should produce 450-475 hp
And I also have been told been told this by my national sales mgr;
He has just recently sold his home to a VP of the company that supplies Ford's interior materials. This gentleman has seen the car already and said it is absolutely phenomenal compared to any prior versions of the Mustang. Even the interior materials are being upgraded.
I seriously want one once they are out, but unless I somehow win the lottery (which I never play) that won't happen.

Why don't we talk about a real pony car, like the gen 5 Camaro Z-28.
Mustangs have always had the same problems, they have a high center of gravity and they just look stupid
Mustangs suck

Edited by Bayou Croc: 9/2/2013 6:52:06 PMSo the 2015 Mustang become the bastard car of a Dodge Charger and Mustang Boss?

Its a generalization, I know, but I have only seen trashy blondes driving new Mustangs. Usually skinny, with a boob job and a tramp stamp.

It is known
-
And it still looks better than a damn fox body.
-
I'd rather have a Dodge Challenger
-
Okay, let's just be realistic here, at 450+ hp, shouldn't it have AWD?
-
But is it as gorgeous as this fine piece of ass?
-
This new stang sounds like a big improvement.

I'm so glad they're installing IRS. That,IMO, is what made the GT-500 a subpar super car. So I'm glad they built the chassis with IRS in mind. thanks for the link!!

I'm not liking the front end on these from what I have seen so far, I hope it looks nothing like that.
-
I highly doubt it drops that much curb weight and goes IRS. Just my opinion.
-
My dad used to own a 70s mustang that was so light that if the drive train was taken out 2 guys could pick it up and carry it around.
-
>IRS Holy -blam!-, you mean they finally decided to catch up to the decade long standards of not using a straight axle?
-There will be a 300 hp turbocharged 4 cylinder in the base models (pulled from another source)
Wait what whoa

What is IRS?
